Cowboys have the 13th best odds of making the playoffs in the NFC

They are headed dead in the wrong direction, yet still refuse to add free agents because they want the cap room to retain the group of “stars” who have already proven to be not enough.

They also do nothing to put themselves in a position to stockpile some draft picks to maybe open a window.

What kind of plan is that? Ride comp picks to a championship?

I mean, they aren’t flat out awful but how do these two look at the situation and figure that one normal draft gets them over the hump when every other team gets to do the same??

How does a fan have even the slightest bit of confidence they have any type of clue?
This will continue to play out over the next few years. Take the under.

Yeah I’m really not trying to be negative…I’d way rather have a different feeling, but I know what it looks and feels like when a winning roster is being built.

Not getting that feeling here. I think they got lucky with two QBs and overplayed it by trying to milk more out of Prescott.

They arent capable of getting this roster back to what it was a few years ago….which wasn’t good enough. Where’s it all going? Miracle mid round picks just happen to all be studs that the rest of the league missed?

Likely to get ugly.

Unfortunately, I think 13th is pretty reasonable as things stand today. I don't see how anyone could put us above 10. We have some pretty big questions including the most important position and we no longer have a proven backup. Plus schedule looks tough this year. I think we are a long way from 12 wins unless we just catch lightning in a bottle.

Falcons, Bears, Seahawks and Cardinals are all teams who I believe we should be better than. Of course this also means our qb has to be healthy for the most part, but I'm not sure the justification for putting all of those above us. I suppose they are projecting growth from Penix and Caleb Williams. They are also projecting Darnolds season last year to not simply be an outlier.

Schedule might be one of the reasons some of these teams have a better chance than us.

I'm as disgruntled as anyone but we shouldn't be that low. We should be about 8-9. This team isn't great, but they are better than 13th. We really aren't that far removed from 12 wins.
I think it’s more a reflection of our division and the unlikely hood of three teams coming out of the east.

Sorry to piss on anyone’s parade, but we aren’t the only team that will be adding players through the draft, and it won’t be moving the needle much for many of them, especially the one picking twelfth.
And how many teams always draft well all of the time?

Learn from this exchange.

We always seem to do well when the odds are against us.

We've been near the top for the last few years, and always came away with nothing.

Pretty easy opportunity for the homers to put their money where their mouths are and be rich by this time next year.
Homers are loyal to a fault, but not stupid. We know we aren't very good, we just aren't happy about and run around hooping and hollering, we suck, Dak sucks, Jerry sucks, Micah sucks, I hope we lose by 50......that's stupidity at its best. Claim to be a fan, yet being happy at failure. Lol!

The more I look at it the more I'm tempted to actually throw down a few bucks lol. I know the Cowboys aren't great this year, but its not like they are completely out of the running to grab a 7 seed.
