Schottenheimer is 'pounding the table' not just for players - but for CHARACTER players.

Deion's philosophy in Colorado smirks at the 'character' ideology.

Also, early 90s Cowboys had all sorts of non-character guys

So, which is it? Talent or character in football?
It's not a question of either or. It's a question of the mix of players You need all kinds of characters to win. Need those thug's to win. There's a difference between on field thuggery and on field stupidity. Thuggery on game days is needed. Stupidity shouldn't be tolerated. On or off the field.

I think deion is eliminating the hard part, and just looking at players.

Why waste time trying to figure out if the player might be a good combo..."just give me players" is his philosophy.

Kinda hard to argue against. But at some point you want to win the right way with character players

Yeah sure. Can't win tough games with all church guys. You need some dawgs. DAWGS tend to have some sort of character issues. It's the nature of the beast.

BTW we heard the same thing with Jason Garrett. We drafted Dez Bryant under JG aka "Da Clappa".

You know this really makes me wonder about DLaw. So I’m just thinking out loud here but Lawrence leaves and him and Micah have their back and forth. Yesterday Micah is saying there is a new regime and they want to change the locker room and not “tolerate dumb stuff”. Then today Schotty is pounding the table.

Makes you wonder. Was Lawrence a cancer? He did have that famous “we were burned out” line after the Green Bay loss.

Same player's, same culture...
Get Micha out of town.

Start new...thugs R Us. Wipe that nose...

One is gone...hopefully the brat kid will go too.

As long as the door to Jerry's office remains open to players to go and cry to this is all just pageantry.
I agree. I feel a lot of our culture problems is the HC can’t be a disciplinarian with the open door policy that Jerry has. I feel if Jerry is serious about Schotty changing the culture then he has to allow Schotty to deal with the players without interference.

You can pound as much as you want

You're getting what Jerry gives you....pound more and he'll let Stephen deal with you which means you get whoever will work for pork n beans and warm mountain dew

It wasn’t just Micah.

Diggs, Bland, Osa and Gholston all made comments about Lawrence.

I hated to see how it played out because I was a fan of tank but there was definitely something going on to get five teammates to call you out

I never liked Lawrence. Just something about him, one of those feelings you get about people.

Maybe it's that all the pregame hype speeches will never make up for manipulating your injury situation to get more money out of the team and/or just skip out of a tough year. He did that twice that we know of.

And for the joking about it, in all seriousness the Hot Boyz crap was absurd. Who made him the gatekeeper for being in the cool kids club on defense?

Glad he's gone. Better late than never.
