Guard was a need, folks. It's a great pick.

You don't use 1st round picks, especially Top 12 picks... to fill "needs". You use FA to plug holes.

You use Top 12 picks to go for stars at premium positions.

I guess he helps in the run game hopefully. 2 First rounders at guard. But man at 12th pick hurts. Nobody must have wanted to trade up.

Nobody can say we don't draft in the trenches. 3 of the last 4 draft's we went trenches heavy with premier draft picks.
