And you can make the same freakin' argument about nearly every position in the league that isn't the QB. Martin and Smith didn't win us super bowls. Neither did Frederick. Lamb hasn't won us a Super Bowl. If Booker ends up being an all-pro and perennial pro-bowler we made the right freakin' pick. Simply stating "you don't pick guards in the top 15" is just a lunacy take. It just is.

Look...you say "I'm emotional". Ok...guilty as charged. I have REAL strong opinions on what this team needs to do to finally be a legit threat again. And I'm also sick of the losing.

But that doesn't mean I just have this kooky rogue idea that you don't take Guards, RBs, off-ball LBs or safeties with top 10/12 picks. There's a lot of legit professional football people...GMs...that have openly stated their philosophy that top picks should go to QBs, OTs, Pass Rushers, CBs or WRs. The best GM in the league has stated this (protégé of Andy Reid)

I'll end on a positive note: this isn't Mazi Smith. Booker is a good player. Most media peeps had him anywhere between 20 and 35. I SERIOUSLY doubt he'll be a bust. I think he'll be a fairly good guard. I just think you can get good good guards in FA. It's far harder to get good OT or good pass rushers in FA.

Just my philosophy on team building

But yeah...I'm emotional...because I'm tired of this team sucking
