I will say going into the season I like the RB group better than this time last year. Zeke was a lazy add and Dowdle was a complete unknown. Williams and Sanders are kind of your average backs, but carry some value. Just worried about their declining ypc. To me Vaughn and Blue are the intriguing guys that I hope can carve off a bigger role.

Last season, everyone was saying it was going to be RB by committee. It wasn't. I won't be this season either. There will be a RB1, and at the end of the season they will have received the lion's share of the snaps. It won't be close.

I hate to bust some hot opinions , but Blue is currently the best rb we have on the roster. He’s also one of the fastest running backs in the NFL. He was great in 2023. But dropped off for some reason last year which is why we are seeing him in round 5.

Not show anything in preseason. Each preseason he's had some quality touches that earned him a roster spot. But come regular season he just hasn't gotten many opportunities even when the backfield was struggling and we've run him the same way we used Zeke which was a mistake. I'm not sure we really know what we have in him. It may be nothing, but just want to find out.

By the end of the season, my money is on Blue. He'll end up with most of the carries.

JK Dobbins makes way more sense than the slop they brought in. But Williams and Sanders were cheap, cheap, cheap.

And FWIW, I like Blue but his role is as a specialty player and backup. Put him behind Dobbins and maybe even one of Williams or Sanders and now you have RB rotation.

Yep. Our run defense has been terrible, so they use an early pick on an undersized edge rusher and a later one on a 222 lb LB.
