2025 Draft Class, things I liked, things I didn't!

If Williams can be 100% healthy this year he runs very hard and is a physical RB.

I think he can be that guy if the blocking is good enough.

Blue also plays bigger than his size.
I’ve been watching Williams for a while.

He isn’t.

And he won’t be.

Denver let him go and replaced him because of that.

Buddy looks like he’s 40 years old and coaches his 13-year old sons football team.

Ezeiruaku is a smaller, smarter version of Sam Williams. If Williams. If Williams had a brain, he would be much better than Ezeiruaku. It will be interesting to see how they use Williams, Kneeland, Fowler and Ezeiruaku.

I agree with you about the guard. That was a reach pick. I would have preferred a difference maker there.

I liked that they picked 2 RBs and 2 DTs. I would have liked to see them make those picks sooner.
They have always liked picking the No. 1 graded player at a position. Here it was Booker.

We have 2 young OL players that showed a lot of promise last year and we signed a FA G. Notice how the run game got better when Martin was out last year?

Heading into the draft I’d say Guard was waaaaaaaay down on the needs list unless the value was way too good to pass up.

Booker doesn’t come close to meeting that criteria for me.
They have to make it a priority to fix their run defense, not just in the draft but also in fa. We hear every year that they want to fix their run defense, but do nothing about it
Want to fix the offensive run game and the defensive run protection...the team invested right there this draft and off season. Quit double talking and just complaining.

Only two picks after selecting Jay Toia out of UCLA to add mass to the defensive tackle position, it's Akingbesote getting the nod as the final pick in the Cowboys' 2025 draft; and though he's not as wide and hefty as Toia, he's far more athletic.

That stems largely from his background playing basketball, a sport he once believed would be his ticket to the pro ranks, but it wasn't fated to happen that way for him. He was convinced by coaches in high school to try his hand at football, and that advice was the best he could've ever received. Akingbesote went on to become a four-star recruit with offers from both Texas A&M and Oklahoma, amongst others, before locking in on Maryland as his destination.

His power is more than present and that's due to where he holds most of his mass: in his arms, chest and shoulders. That will serve him well at the NFL level, and he uses his unique frame to be agile when it matters, by way of leaner (but not lean) lower half. So when watching his film, note his proclivity to do "crossovers" against offensive linemen to push their footwork to the limit, because it just works.

A high ceiling here, though still needing refinement from a coaching staff that can unlock his pro ability.

A verbal snapshot of potential and a real man!

Long game gentlemen, oline done. And should be a power line by mid-year.
We are going to have running back by comity this year, will be fingers crossed all year - but it is what it is now.
WR is the blinking light, and I hate them all saying they have Mingo - what a crock of doo doo !
If they do not trade for a # 2 somewhere, it's the reason this season will end like the last.
DLine, solid, not spectacular get thru this year and can target next.
Williams better have a spectacular season coming off his injury or he will.not get a 2nd contract here.

They have gotten worse in run defense, let their 3 best run defenders walk and their replacements are downgrades.

Booker moves people. He was drafted to run the football. Doesn’t mean we will run the football all the time but the Cowboys run offense has been bad since San Francisco exposed us several years ago. A young line is always a great way to go. I will admit it was a safe choice.
I’m with you getting better at running the football…but we were top 10 in run block win rate last year and had a 1K rusher who most of our fans thought was mediocre last year.

It was a coward pick IMO.

Do explain instead of crying. Use point in career and actual ability to conduct a defense. I don't share your tears make up heroe stuff. I simply played football before Viet Nam and served. Kika de la Garza was Senior Senator and head of the Armed Foces Committe...from here in Texas.

What do you know about coward? That running back was signed for a higher salary and two old players retired.

Can’t disagree. I do wonder if Mazi and Guyton hurt the possibility of drafting Grant or Nolen.
