Interesting tidbit. Truth to the rumors?

"Joe Milton was - and this is a direct quote from somebody in the organization -'not a good dude'", Bedard said to Nick Cattles, "Knowing your role, playing your role; you know, being part of harmonious quarterback room - that was going to be an issue. And it wasn't about Drake Maye, it was just about the [quarterback] room."

It was one New England player saying that he wanted to compete for Drake Mayes job. So I’m not sure how that’s not being good dude. Just like here, you just can’t make everybody happy, so why even try
That might jive with the "Knowing your role" quote from the article but is that enough to trade a guy unless they had to have repeated conversations with him? Do you have a link for your claim? I'm interested.

If they believed in Maye and wanted a harmonious qb room, then yes. Go get a vet to be backup and get whatever assets you can for Milton.

I live 20 minutes from Gillette Stadium. I go by there daily. it’s widely known in New England that that was the issue. This is an old story someone trying to get attention.

Milton was not going to sit behind another rookie, for five seasons. And sit there and be happy about it. I wouldn’t be in neither. Would anybody else with their right mind. I actually think he’s better than Drake. New England was second-guessing, even drafting Drake.

New England was second base guessing taking Drake. But when you take a quarterback that high in the draft, you’re going to find a way to put them in there so you don’t look stupid. Look I don’t know if that’s true either, but it wasn’t a good situation and they did the right thing in my opinion. We’re lucky to have Milton.

I also think New England wanted a veteran, behind Drake not just another rookie. But there’s a lot of stories. The bottom line is I think we’re lucky to have Joe Milton here. He’s not the same as the last mistake lol I won’t mention his name.
