So we're just supposed to forget the whole Mingo for a 4th rounder?

If you really feel that way then you are 100% clueless and need help. Mingo won’t even be on the active roster after this trade and will probably not even make it out of camp
That's the chance you take with almost every 4th round player.

Yes, he can be that ignorant. Just look at the high number of clowns that are negative when they just traded for the best available receiver in this offseason. Plus they just drafted the best guard, the best pass rusher, and the best corner in the draft and added an excellent receiver out the backfield in Blue.
homers are ignorant

that fourth could have gotten us a better RB for starters
or maybe a better DT
so anyone thinking it was worthless is an idiot

Cmon man...its only a 4th. Hit or miss. Same as Mingo... hit or miss. At least we swung
It was an odd trade at the time, but it still surprises me fans get so upset shipping off a 4th round pick for a player that was a 2nd round pick a year and a half prior, fell out of favor in a dysfunctional offense, but showed some potential the year prior.

To your point they atleast took a swing, it's not trending as a hit but let's see if he can compete after a full offseason here.

I mean we all did a double blink last year when that trade was announced. It’s comical at this point. Can someone please post the Bevis and Butthead pic.
What do you want? Other than someone to post a meme for you?

This subject has been beaten to death.

It was a fourth round pick. Move on.

Actually Mingo and Pickens were born in the same year and are both 24 years old. I will say it again what is the fixation this board has on 4th round picks is comical. Our receiving unit is literally top flight now with Mingo now able to settle in to a Noah Brown role. CeeDee as the main man, Pickens as the X. Tolbert getting one on one coverage with the third corner or safety, and Turpin as the gadget guy. We cooking with grease.
Both young. Good post

some people obviously need reminding of the continual stupidity of Big and Little Enos.
Well, that will never change. We are well aware of Big turd, and little turd but we also gotta call it as it is when they do something good. This off-season has been a huge effort in improving the team. A major change in thinking. It's real.

Right. It’s done and the only thing left to do is hope Mingo balls out and surprises everyone. I don’t think we should hold the player accountable for Jerry trading a 4th for him. The draft is over, Mingo is in the team, let’s get behind him and hope for the best. 4th round picks don’t make or break rosters.

Think they would have taken blue in 4th
But I didn’t like the mingo trade to be clear

When I was young I asked my parents if I could go to a Motley Crue concert with my friends. Dad gave a quick, “NO”. For days I kept bringing up how my friends got to have fun while I didn’t get to do jack.

I thought I’d make him feel bad by bringing it up again when a bunch of my buddies were at my house. He calmly stood up, headed toward the door, but just prior to leaving he peered right through me and said, “I hear if you keep *****ing about it, it gets better”.

I think that sentiment is applicable for the continued fussing about something that went down in November of 2024.

Mingo just bumped Tolbert. I dint like Tolbert, I think hes a waste of a roster spot. Ever since the Green Bay where he cost our boys the #1 seed because he didn't know where to line up.

It's not a bad deal to have Mingo for pick 114. Your post is comical.
I don't see that. I think it is a legitimate point. The Cowboys are a team that supposedly builds through the draft. If Mingo doesn't play then it seems to me they wasted a valuable pick to acquire him.

With that 4th round pick we could have found another DT like Tonka Hemmingway, or Josh Farmer. Or RB Dylan Sampson. Or WRs Jaylin Lane or Jalen Royals. Or LB Teddye Buchanan. Or DEs Jack Sawyer or Barryn Sorrrell. Not saying these are great players but a lot of folks on this forum wanted some of these guys in this draft.

The Cowboys don't sign free agents so they need to find their starters in the draft.
