Zoners - I didn't realize until this morning Dak is a virtual lock to be the highest paid player in NFL history with no post season success. Right now he's 10 in career earnings and his mega deal hasn't even kicked in. Matt Ryan and Kirk Cousins are the only players above him who haven't won anything although Matt made it to a SB, and Dak is a lock to pass them both in earnings.
Also interesting he's the only player on that list who got all his money from one team with the exception of Roethlesberger who has 2 SBs, which is another in a long line of indicators as to the sheer stupidity of our "brain trust".

Dak may end up being the most overpaid athlete in professional sports history, not just the NFL. Aside from Cousins, I can't think of any other athlete in any other sport who comes close.

Jamarcus Russell beats Dak and it's not close. No matter what one thinks of Dak, he is a viable NFL starting QB. Overpaid? Absolutely, but nowhere near the degree of guys who can't play at all.

what about watson who's getting paid to do nothing, there have been others

That contract was about the timing of it and being mishandled (more than once) by the front office, not his ability.

That and having no plan b in place, so they got hosed.

It’s not even the worst current one. That goes to Watson in a landslide

If it helps they just moved this where no one will see it so you have smooth sailing to enjoy your weekend Coogs.
Only one mod on here right now "stash" he "stashed" this post away, good job "stash" I think as a mod I can do the same things but better!! lol jk

Are either of them the highest paid player in NFL history?

That's a good call out but Watson is not on the list. And while he's a low life who I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, the result in terms of the playoffs has been the same.

Playoffs is only one category.

If you're asking the least succesful playoff QB for the money, Dak might be close to the top of the list, though there's definitely a few gnawing at the chains. Daniel Jones was a worse deal. Herbort deal ranks up there, though Harby might well be turning that around.
