Cowboys fans are having a change of heart around head coach Brian Schottenheimer

All I hear is negative nonsense coming from the Debbie Downer crowd we don't want to hear your Debbie Downer you have nothing else to go by the same for all the first time head coaches in the NFL right now you can only report what there is to report and right now he's getting a more positive grade than he did from the beginning that's it that's all they're saying no it's calling this super successful and we're going big places look that they're giving the guy a new score his hire immediately didn't get any positive feedback and now there are people that like what they see so far you know the word so far like we can't jump in the future all we can do is report on what's going on now...

Get over yourself there's nothing wrong with being positive at this point because we don't have any live games to judge him by again just like all the other first time head coaches everything is to be determined so let's just move past the nonsense can't let anybody report anything positive or everyone's pumping sunshine no they're actually reporting the way people are feeling..

.
Let me save you future key strokes. I DONT read anything you post. You are exhausting and not worth it. Have a nice life.

And yet you took the time to reply isn't that something I mean now you're telling you did read it even though you was claiming not to read it but I can tell you this you're not saving me anything now that I know it bothers you, i'll keep doing it ,we'll be equal in that arena, what you do and say bothers me, and I'll continue to annoy you and here we go...

strokes, nope!!! oh that's right I used talk to text so I can annoy you faster.. Thanks for letting me know i'm in your head have a great Sunday:muttley::popcorn::angry:

lol...say one bad thing to him, even "boo", and he will put you on ignore so don't think he read your post. He brags that he has 80 people on ignore. lmao

This idea of changing the culture is great. But let's not get too friendly like Garrett did. The biggest problem with the Cowboys has been discipline with attention to detail. Mental toughness! I would prefer the players keep their mouths shut and just let their play speak for itself through hard work and discipline.

It might be me, but to win a superbowl you first must win in the playoffs.

I think it would be more valid to say that more fans have become "fair weathered" not because of the team, but because of the owner / GM.
Doesn’t matter the reason. A fair weather fan is a fair weather fan. It’s all about hopping on that bandwagon when things start looking good. Before that, it’s nothing but hate.

wrong

First you need to put together a team that can make the playoffs ,you have to win into regular season, you have to be consistent and get to the playoffs enough where you can breakthrough..

this team has done that... they've been close they went to the second round in 2018 yes it's frustrating we've had a drought but this is not even close to the longest drought in the NFL or the longest drought in sports so people have had to wait around a lot longer real fans die hard fans will wait around for as long as it takes and be really happy when it happens...

I will grade how our new hc has done in Jan when we see a) if we mk the playoffs and b) how many playoff games we win. Thats how I’ve judged every Cowboys hc since the early 70s when I started watching every game and that remains how every hc should be graded.

Here are the things that are meaningless about a hc to me as a fan,
  1. He says all the right things
  2. He seems to be affecting the culture and the locker room
  3. The players like him
  4. The owner is “comfortable” with the hire
Post season wins is how every Cowboys hc shall be judged and I’ll weigh in after Jan. Everything else is just celebrating looks and appearances, something that may or may not translate into playoff wins.
This is true but should be true for all coaches I mean how is it the Pittsburgh Steelers coach and I know he's a really good coach he's lost seven straight playoff games I mean this is all about winning in the playoffs he's not doing too well neither is TJ Watt in that group over there big they all make excuses....

So patience is a virtue with a new head coach a brand new first time head coach there's a lot of many nfl and they all should get some time to prove themselves but all we have right now to judge him by is what he's done in the offseason and people are grading that now we can't grade what we haven't seen but if anyone starts ripping on this guy three games into the season without giving him some time I want that same energy for all the other new first time head coaches I don't want any excuses they should all get some time to grow into their position dan Campbell had a terrible first year and his GM put more and more talent every year on that team try to help him out and now he's proving his worth but he had no good reputation to be hired as a head coach either he had no business I never heard of Nick Siriani either his resume was pretty poor and what his GM do gave him every opportunity to win more games than he did we need to give some time to B S but we also have to remember who is G M is...

You gotta make sure his owner is ready to help him as much as some of these other head coaches has got.....

Look the New York Giants have been very patient with Daboll.. Maybe too patient but I try to remind people that first time head coaches might need some time I don't know about 4 years but he's still the coach over there and he's been pretty bad but is it really him or was it the GM did player personnel not doing their job they make bad decisions like whose decision was it to get rid of Saquan Bartley and keep Daniel Jones I mean was that the head coach I mean some of this you got to make sure you understand we should give him some time be patient as fans but also remember who is owner and GM is...

:lmao: A person saying they’ll start rooting ONLY when they get to the NFC Championship game is the definition of a fair weather fan. There are many here. A big percentage of posters here are fair weather fans if fans at all. Get a reality check.
A fair-weather fan is someone who disappears with his tail between his legs when things get bad, actually.

Scanning my memory banks for someone who fits that description. Oh wait...

When did you want Landry to step down?

My grade is “I” for incomplete. He hasn’t even coached a practice in pads yet, LOL! Would like to see at least a few regular season games before grading this guy. Maybe even a season.
I can't wait for your 1st game and mid-season reviews.

Cowboys fans have really come around on Brian Schottenheimer.

Back in January of this year, when the Dallas Cowboys needed a new head coach after Mike McCarthy’s departure, fans had their own favorites for the job. Suffice it to say, very few fans had Brian Schottenheimer at the top of their list.

When Jerry Jones decided that the Cowboys offensive coordinator was the man for the job, there was a tremendous negative backlash from the fanbase. Many thought the Jones family was just going cheap because Schottenheimer would be a first-time head coach. Others thought Jerry was just hiring a puppet, someone who would carry out his wishes.

In general, it was a time when most thought - what are the Cowboys doing? Fast forward roughly six months, and the feeling is very different.

Don't know about other fans
But I have not been happy with the pick at HC.
This team if serious about winning should not be giving a career assistant his first HC opportunity.
