Rapoport: Trade deadline, how active will Dallas be

I am 100% confident we will make at least one trade, but no idea whether minor or major. Some may ask why now and not wait until after the season. The value for some players may be a little lower ( mid-season ) now than waiting after the season, when there is more competition. Similar to what some have suggested, Jerry could have gotten more Micah in March rather than Sept, 8 days before the season started.

+1.....I would much rather do a player-for-player trade for Mazi and Diggs as you are suggesting. I'm guessing their value can't be more than 5th......

Wouldn't be shocked if we try to trade for another RB. Tony Pollard? Lol. The Joneses like familiarity and being comfortable. Our defense is so bad I don't see any trade helping us this year . It also doesn't help when our DC is terrible.

I like this idea, might have to throw in a draft pick because Sweat might have an attitude but he is productive.

Eagles see a weakness, they don't wait, they seem to attack it and have urgency. Meanwhile the smug delusional Jones boys sit on their hands waiting for teams to call us and kiss our mood ring as they kneel before king Jerry and prince Stevie. I kid around but it almost feels like that to me. They make me ill.

If Jerry is dealing I am girding my loins. It could be bad or really bad. I know people are okay with trading away those GB picks, but have you stopped to consider Jerry may give up Dallas's picks?

I still don't think he is going to make a blockbuster trade. I don't see a Simmons, Garrett or Crosby coming to Dallas. He might make a trade because he feels he has to, just like when he extended Bland, Luepke and Ferguson after trading Parsons.

And can we stop the talk about giving a trade partner our trash? Why would any team want Mazi or Tolbert is a trade? If we have to give up one or two of our players it will most likely be someone we find more promising.

Remember, we have several former (trash) players starting for other teams

I would prefer the Cowboys be sellers not buyers. If they could do some salary cap dumping, go for it!!!

Overpaying or getting into a bidding war is something I'm not interested in at all.

Trading for one or two players won't make this a playoff team.
