The KC Game Strategy

Mahomes is statistically one of the best against zone. We play the 2nd most zone coverage in the league.

How do think this may end up if Eberflus sticks with this approach.
He had his way against the colts last week when they started to play man coverage. Have to mix it up

I think the Chiefs will do what they do but will try to use our aggression to beat ourselves. We cannot beat ourselves. Meaning, don't get taunting flags, late hits, crap like that. KC is great at getting the refs to see things there way each week. We can't feed the beast tomorrow. Chiefs don't need any help. I believe they are going to let our own emotion work against us. We must remain calm cool , collected. Do what we do. That's my take. Play in control. Do not let them dictate terms.
We can get pressure up the middle. The DEs just need to stop Mahomes from rolling out of the pocket. He's terrible going backwards and great if he can move side to side. The opposite of Lamar.

This isn’t the game to play man.. #15 will carve us up like a thanksgiving turkey if they do. This is the game to play nothing but zone and offer up some simulated blitzes. If they don’t we lose this game.. the chiefs are very beatable if the approach is right. Zone! Zone! Zone!
Except we suck at zone. Especially the scramble drill. So I have to disagree.

On offense, KC will likely take away Pickens and force the Dak to CD and Ferg connection. CD better get his head right.
Teams have still been doubling Lamb. Ceedee is still getting open some how. He needs to focus and stop dropping the ball.

Our fans don't understand this. If Dak does not have time and makes quick throws, they will say his arms sucks and he can't throw deep any more and call him check down Prescott.
Dak's arm has never been great. And it's not getting better. He does struggle getting the ball down the field. I still think he has better chemistry with Ceedee. Ceedee just has to come through.

Well so can Prescott most good quarterbacks in this league you give them enough time they'll carve you up I mean isn't that what it looked like when we allowed a lot of those backups to look better against us because we weren't getting any pressure almost none Our defense was allowing guys like Brisett to look like a starting quarterback..

So yeah some quarterbacks play better than others with pressure prescott does a good job playing with pressure in his face but you allow him a little bit more time he will carve you up all day long That's pretty much the game plan Stop the run Set up play action but you gotta keep your quarterback clean or it's gonna be a long day.. So yes vice versa You gotta get to the quarterback move him off his spot That will definitely help your defense...
That's been the Rams strategy. Stafford is getting amazing protection. Plus he's probably the most accurate QB in the game right now.

Cowboys can beat Kansas City. They will need to play well and make sound coaching decisions.

One thing about this team:

It has to be willing to think more conventionally.

1) ALWAYS take go-ahead points. I do not care. Dallas FG's are like eye cuts in a boxing match. They are pre-cursors to a bigger barrage coming: This team has KO power on Offense and a lead can be expanded instantly.

We stymie ourselves way too much (AZ & CHI), and then when we have things clicking it can be too late.

2) Play more conventionally. Stop with the 4th and 3's from the 50. Just punt. You are fielding a much better Defense than before the bye week.

Just proved my point.

The QB must go down and he must go down hard…..that is from an old NFL films….

So hit the NFL darling QB hard and often. Let’s just hope the KC Refs look the other way this time for those finger tap roughing calls.
The whole Chiefs team is the darling of the NFL. I think it’s against the rules to hit Mahomes hard.

The first big catch Pickens makes, he should take the ball and shove it in the DBs face while talking trash. Get it out of the way early.

The Chiefs’ defense is top ten, but…

They’re terrible defending play action passing. Last in the league, in fact. Guess who the most efficient play action quarterback is?

Our very own Rayne Dakota.

Regarding the Chiefs’ offense, it’s also elite. Like all great quarterbacks, Mahomes only really struggles when he’s being pressured with nowhere to step up. The Cowboys are uniquely suited to apply this kind of pressure.

Winning will be difficult, but there are places the Cowboys can attack.

our offense has to start fast and keep up with Mahomes. our defense has to hold on for dear life and force FG's.

for us to win , I think this has to be a shootout.

there were times Hurts had a lot of time in the backfield. Mahomes and co. actually knows what to do with that.

This is the concern. The Chiefs offense is built to tear up zone coverage.

Mahomes is not going to play like Hurts. Where Hurts is conservative and often plays not to lose and let the defense win, Mahomes approaches every game like he and the offense has to win it himself, despite having a top ten defense that is top five in points allowed.

I’m worried about today.

All KC has to do is triple cover Pickens. Leave Lamb wide open because he’ll drop it anyway. Sarcasm yes, but if he does the dropsies this game, I’ll go on record to suggest he’s gambling against his own team. School kids could’ve made the catches he’s dropped.

Dak must get off to a fast start offensively and not let Mahomes dictate the rhythm of the game. Defensively, Dallas has to win 1st down. Do not let him get into 2nd and 3rd and short situations. Reid is an absolute mastermind at coaching with leads. It is rare when he lets teams come back from 10 or more points. He and Spagnuolo compliment each other perfectly as opposite play callers.

Their O line is not good. We need pressure to keep him moving around and get him rattled.

Agreed. We can't allow Pat to stand there all day either. If we do, he carves us up like a Turkey.
