I think schematically the offense has improved.

But he HAS TO get a good DC in and fix the penalties. Otherwise he will get the team nowhere.

i totally agree with post. this team has not a real head coach since mccarthys first three years. the last two years the jones cut off mccarthys nuts from him.

Positives he handled the Kneeland tragedy well and he handled the Diggs headache well.

Negatives: pretty much everything else on the field. We looked unprepared a lot.

I doubt that Shotty had much weight in that Parsons decision, but it wa state right move.

I give him a rookie B. If nothing else for getting rid of the trash (Diggs)

D, only because the O looked good for most of the season. The rest of the team is a mess and looked poorly coached all season. He will get another year unfortunately.

C+….out of everything wrong this year, schotty least of my concerns. Hated his hire, so had low expectations but I feel with adequate coaching on d and special teams he has potential.

Next year is a huge year for him

Some good things on the offensive side of the ball. However he may have its had to have even just an average offense with Lamb, Pickens and 4 top 80 picks(with 3 first rounders) on the offensive line

C-. Too Many second half no shows on offense and didn’t seem to have any ability or authority to hold defensive players and coaches accountable (how else to explain Kenneth Murray and the horrible scheme?).

Offense overall was really good but had some situational deficiencies and seems to fade down the stretch a bit. Defensively it was atrocious and didn’t get better aside from just a couple of games.

I’ll weigh him heavier as an offensive minded coach but you still have to evaluate a HC on the overall performance of the team. I’ll also give him a few bonus points for some obvious roster flaws, but still the results were not good.
