Wonder if I can illegally change Jerry Jones' name to Deacon Frost? That would certainly put a target on his back.
 
So it reads as if Jerry is saying he made mistakes in the process and hiring of coaches. Great. We knew that.

But it seems like Jerry is arguing here that changing the way he goes after coaches fixes our issues. That's false

Our issues, especially on defense, have been tied to both coaching AND player acquisitions. Parker is an interesting hire for sure and definitely seems outside the normal thinking for us. But if Jerry and his son don't get creative with the cap and the roster and add some real pieces in FA, it won't matter.

And my fear after reading this is that Jerry thinks hiring the right coaches takes his uber awesome roster to new heights. Jerry is obsessed with not having to admit that his player personnel decisions and roster construction decisions have largely sucked.

That damn guy in the mirror is tricking poor Jerry.
 
He hasn't learned anything. He still hires coordinators before hiring head coaches, and then he had the nerve to blame Schottenheimer for Eberflus. "Schotty" is another retread that nobody would've entertained for a HC interview other than Jerry, because he was already "in the building." Very cult-like and scary.
 
The fish rots from the head. If you love and respect your teammates, you don't come late or miss meetings on the regular. You just don't. And then how Jones excuses it at the end?

“I agree,” Jones said. “It goes back to his commitment to how he loves football, his enjoyment being around his teammates and how he enjoys being coached.” Sources behind the scenes have said that while Pickens has been a great teammate and player, he still has had some issues with tardiness to meetings. I had to ask if that would influence anything that’s ahead in a negotiation. “I’ve missed a few myself,” Jones said with a laugh. “Something came up.”
