News: Ravens back out of Crosby trade

I was actually being a purposeful idiot. The guy says no way would he give a first….. yet he says he’d give a second. In neither of the given scenarios does the guy have a clue how good or bad the injury is to justify his opinion.
And now we have name calling… it’s not that serious brotha lol

Love the offseason

The language is interesting.

If the issue was medical, it would seem improper to label their actions as "backing out". There would be an understanding that the trade is void in that event. No one backed out of anything.

Did the Ravens change their mind and rescind a trade that had been agreed upon?

Technically, as mentioned, they did nothing wrong. However, this could be a violation of trust and a breech of an established practice among the NFL executives. I guess, you could say it was in violation of a gentleman's agreement.....as it were.

It will be interesting to get the whole story.
I think “backing out” was the Raiders’ choice of words. They’re embarrassed and upset.

If we traded Osa, it would cause 37 million dead money and cost 13 million against the cap, not happening.
Trading him actually saves almost 5m against the cap. Of Course there is dead money, but it is a lot less than what he will cost over the next three years if we keep him.

If we dont do anything....his cap hits are 20.75, 24.5, 24.5, and 4m in his voided year. Almost 73m. We would gain 4.75m this year, and much more the next two years after that.

Tyler Smith Tyler Booker Micah Parsons Cee Dee Lamb ….you can use your # 1’s hit a home run and have that player under contract four to five years .

You also need to be willing to take an Offensive player. You can't reach for a defender.

Yeah, I read now that it was medical. I guess the Raiders were disappointed but the Ravens had every right to cancel the agreement.

I’m not seeing this anywhere on the internet? Is this fake?
Its legit, its all over the internet right now. Just google it.

Rumors are that it is medical related, but like I said, its just rumors and nothing confirmed so take it with a grain of salt.

If this is true, a big IF, then the Cowboys might be back in on the trade with lowered compensation I would imagine. After all, it came down to Dallas and Baltimore as the final two teams.

Even if the dude is missing an arm, he would be better than most of our players currently on defense, LOL!!!

You think Gary is comparable with Crosby?
No. The prices for them alone tell us they are not. I think Dallas was looking to add one "high-end" end and believes it has done that.

I'm wary any time a team is willing to deal a player for cheap. Even if there are cap reasons involved, teams don't trade top players for nothing. Green Bay obviously does not believe Gary is a top player ... and based on third-day trades we've made in the past, I'm not expecting him to be. I'm hoping that he exceeds what they think he is, though.
