News: Ravens back out of Crosby trade

No. The prices for them alone tell us they are not. I think Dallas was looking to add one "high-end" end and believes it has done that.

I'm wary any time a team is willing to deal a player for cheap. Even if there are cap reasons involved, teams don't trade top players for nothing. Green Bay obviously does not believe Gary is a top player ... and based on third-day trades we've made in the past, I'm not expecting him to be. I'm hoping that he exceeds what they think he is, though.
The packers gave Gary a 4 year 96 million dollar extension 2.5 years ago. Were they stupid then or now? I’m guessing thoughtbpretty highly of him to give him 96 million, no?

He should shut up, like I said, any team has the right to back out a trade if a player fails his physical so he needs to suck it up
Baltimore has a history of backing out of deals and contracts at the last second. They did it once over a failed physical due to an ankle sprain. It doesn’t surprise me that the league has little respect for them.

Ravens have never traded a first round pick in a player in their 31 year history and with the Ravens backing out of the trade, I doubt the Ravens would trade a first round pick for a player ever again
Ravens are shady as hell and always have been

Just with trades, here’s some history

According to Diana Russini, this has happened a few times with the Ravens:
  • "This is not the first time a failed physical has scuttled a deal on the Ravens’ end
  • It happened in 2018 when they agreed to terms with free-agent wide receiver Ryan Grant but didn’t go through with signing him because of an ankle issue.
  • It happened again with Michael Brockers in 2020."

Then there was this Jaire Alexander "trade" last year:
  • "On November 1, 2025, the Ravens traded Alexander along with a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.
    • On November 11, Alexander announced he would be stepping away from football to focus on his physical and mental health. He was placed on the reserve/retired list the following day."
    • Alexander is on the Eagles for 10 days(!) and retires. Eagles did NOT get the 6th round pick back

Don’t get me started under involvement with the Ray Lewis coverup.

So I guess the question is just WHAT is the condition of his knee?

He will be traded for less now and the Raiders spent all their money, lol

Watch the Eagles swoop in.

The knee being bone on bone is going to be an issue for him when he’s 40. It’s not an issue for a couple years

if only there was a team that was prepared to re-sign their super expensive edge rusher until he got an unbelievable 30m$/yr from someone else, and they haven’t spend the money they were saving for him yet…

Since it sounds like Dallas was in the mix during the original pursuit of Crosby, I wonder if the Raiders might have Dallas on speed dial. Despite reports suggesting Dallas isn’t interested, I imagine Jerry could still be swayed with the right deal.
