Both teams run the Fangio type scheme. The problem was that Osa wanted to keep playing the 3t but Quinnen Williams is that guy now. Osa will play the same position for SF.

Sure, not arguing any of that….still doesn’t change the fact that our D lacks competent bodies and we just traded 2. Also doesn’t help that the majority of useful free agents have already been signed.
But again, I’ll reserve judgment. There’s still a handful of free agents that can be signed and we all know Jerry loves to wheel and deal.

After the year the 49ers had with injuries they were looking for guys that never get hurt, Odighizuwa fits the bill.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m by no means upset…but I don’t think this is anything to celebrate either.
Apparently Parker didn’t think Osa or Thomas fit his D, which is fine, but doesn’t change the fact that we are losing competent players on a defense that already seriously lacked competent players.

I’ll reserve judgment until I see the final product, but we’re up to needing 5 or 6 key contributors on defense at this point.

That contract is under his real value around the league. Quinn was going to pay him more last year but he wanted to stay in Dallas.

Niners fans are saying it's 2 years $36 mil with no cap hit after 2027. I have no idea if that's true but it's not terrible in this day and age if they get his best.
