Raiders are telling teams they're not trading Crosby

They realized that 1) his value on the market dropped considerably with the Ravens backing out over health concerns, 2) fewer teams would be interested now after making their alternative/backup moves, and 3) they already upset a lot of their fans with his trade so no reason to go through that again.
I think it's also that they just think too highly of his talent to simply take anything for him. If they are going to trade him they are still going to want two firsts imo. They just might try it later on this year or next year once he is over his rehab. He's getting his 30 million guaranteed tomorrow. The Raiders can absorb that and restructure if necessary. So I've always thought that the best play for them now was to keep him. They are not in a desperate situation financially.

Fish seems to think we are in on Greenard.

I know.....its Fish
Don't know about that one. The Eagles are in on Greenard as well. Reports are that Howie has offered a more substantial contract than the one Greenard already has. I'm not holding my breath on the Jones clan outbidding anyone...considering what happened with Dean and Walker.

What happened to you? I have not had the pleasure of your off-season intelligence ,

Why???? Does he ever want to win
I think he wants to win but the absolute reverence he has for the Raiders would make Al Davis proud. He was even talking about retiring with the Raiders after his stint with Baltimore. Before it all fell through.

Right move for them
Crosby value is lowest right now
If someone offers them 2 firsts they will do it or at the trade deadline when he is 100%
This right here. Been saying it since the deal collapsed. They can easily absorb the cap hit.

This.

I think the Eagles end up with Greenard.
Reports are that Howie wants to give him more money in the trade. It won't be Dallas if it's a bidding war. They showed that when they went after Dean.

They pretty much made up their mind once they knew they were not getting two firsts for him
I happen to think the Ravens NEVER REALLY INTENDED to complete the trade

Based on what? Because they said so? And you believe them?
There is always a chance they could be, especially as it gets closer to the draft and the knee has another 6 weeks to heal. Probably depends on whether the knee injury is truly a concern and whether Las Vegas would lower their asking price. Supposedly the Raiders were only trading Crosby because he said he didn’t want to play for the Raiders. If Crosby truly had a change of heart about playing for the Raiders then the Raiders may decide to keep him.

I know people keep saying "demanded" but we don't know for sure he demanded a trade or simply asked for one.

Demanding a trade suggests he was going to be unhappy if he remained.

Requesting a trade leaves room for teams to do something (not just financially) to show they want the player to stay.
I think they tried to accommodate him and it didn’t work out.

And now both sides are trying to make things work out together.

Trade market ranked so they will take their max and go home.

The guy is a winner and a leader of men. Yes he's older but he will recover and be a lock down end for 3-4 more years which is pretty much the end of this run with the current version of the cowboys.

If we are going to break the bank and go for it now, we trade our 20th and 92nd for Crosby.

Honestly, I think that's the best move by the Raiders. They are building a new team.

Assuming he fully recovers (and he should) he's a great player. Fans love him and will likely show that even more now that he's back.

They can look to trade him again in a year or two, but for now they should go all in on Crosby being back.

Crosby has already come out saying he's happy, so that's a great first step.

Know what, I'm staying far away from the Vegas Raiders. Same with the Ravens. Maxx might never be right again. Let's see if we can pry away a starting cb from a team right now. Let's call Greenhard the olb/de from Minnesota. We also need a Mike linebacker.

The Crosby trade market might not heat up again until the summer when he might refuse to report.

A lot of bridges burned between him and the Raiders.

I thought the raiders couldn’t afford to keep him with all the free agent acquisitions?
