The Browns adjusted Garrett's contract (more tradeable) -- (See new thread)

The sheer incompetence of the Browns is eclipsed only by the sheer incompetence and stupidity of our FO

Morons should have traded him in 2025 when the QB class was great. The QBs suck this year and they will have to wait till next year thereby losing 2 years

Idiots
I wish we could’ve had only two winning seasons like the browns the last ten years. But now they have pro bowler sanders to help them improve. Woohoo.

I wouldn’t trade him if I was the Browns. They have a top notch D. They have enough draft capital to get a QB regardless.
Not saying that I want Dallas to do this because I don’t. So if you were Cleveland and Dallas offered you picks 12 and 20 for Garrett you would say No? That would give you picks 6, 12, 20, 24, 39, 70, etc in the 2026 draft. You could rebuild a team with that kind of draft capital. They aren’t making the playoffs with their current team.

You can reasonably expect two more excellent years but beginning to decline.
At least two more but his decline could still make him better than most

2025 Season Highlights
Garrett won his second Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) award for his record-breaking 2025 performance.
Wikipedia
  • Sacks: 23.0 (led NFL)
  • Tackles for Loss: 33 (second-most in NFL history)
  • Tackles: 60 combined (43 solo)
  • Forced Fumbles: 3
  • PFF Grading: Earned a 92.7 overall defensive grade, ranking 1st among all qualified edge defenders.

NO.
Use the 1st rounders, that can be used for 3 players over the next 2 years.
Also slight trade down can get 4 or 5 players.

Not worth it to give up all that draft capitol for 1 players.
I love all the wheelers and dealers salivating over the prospect of adding a solitary marquee player instead of multiple to fill our multiple deficiencies. I mean, why even trade Micah if we're just going to turn around and jump right back in the hole we are digging ourselves out of? Well, other than the fact that Micah is overrated.

I would absolutely make this trade if it were Garrett for one first round pick and Pickens. In a heart beat. I wouldn’t give up two # ones. ButI think you could get him for less. Maybe one #1 and a third.

This would be a true “go for it” move we haven’t seen in forever.

Myles Garrett is a HOF talent - an MVP that would instantly make this entire team better. His talent and locker room leadership would be well worth it IMO. And he’s 30. He may have 4-5 more years in him.

For those saying “no way” because we aren’t “one player away” and we need multiple bodies on defense…it’s highly doubtful you can get 3 defenders that would have the immediate impact Garrett would have.

If the terms are right, I would do it in a heartbeat. Im tired of listening to Stephen Jones lecture us on being conservative and responsible.

After thinking about it some more, I should have applied the same logic I used for the cowboys. They are In a similar situation as us. They have a great D but woeful on offense. They aren’t a year away from contention so yes they should trade him now because of his age. If he was younger, then no.

I doubt they did that to make them tradable. Where is the quote from the Browns that they want to trade him and they’re open to trading him where is his comment? This is just more nonsense. They probably adjusted his contract like all teams do including the Cowboys, to help the cap.

I don’t think I’m open to trading to first rounders definitely not this year‘s but it’s possible show me what they want again show me where the Browns that are open to trading with her asking for they might want three first period?
Especially not THREE first rounders...which is reportedly what they want. Geez. This Pavlovian nonsense just goes on and on. The Cowboys are not one player away from a Superbowl. And it's only if you think that do you kill your draft for two years. This would be worse than the Crosby trade offer...and that was only ONE first rounder.

i'd do that in a milisecond. myles is a one man wrecking ball. IMMEDIATELY
The Cowboys win seven games last season. The Browns won five. They have two things in common. Not enough good players and not enough draft picks.

Adding Garrett makes alot of players better

If you get improvement from Revel, they could easily wind up with a top 10 defense this year with Garrett
