You can trade 12, 112, and next years 3rd for 8.

It looks like you could get Downs or Delane at 8. You might be able to get Styles, Bain, or Bailey.

Or you can sit at 12 and wait for Downs. Bain, or McCoy to fall to the Cowboys and keep the draft capital. The Cowboys have traded enough 2027 draft capital.
You can trade up to 9 for 12, 112, and 152. I tried this and got Styles at 9. Or you can trade 12 and 92 for 9.

Im not trading up for Delane. Maybe for Styles or Bain. Maybe for Downs also, its just not as glaring of a need as before.

This is NOT the draft to trade up in the first rd
It kind of lines up well. Solid defenders available at 8 that will be gone at 12. Maybe they get lucky and one falls to 12 and maybe they don't..

This team has too many holes to waste picks on just one position. They will draft a high-quality player at #12, most likely 1 of those 5 players you mentioned will be there at #12. I assume that Downs will be the one, Styles too.

I suspect that they don't pick at 12. They either go up or down. I'll go on record that trading up for Bain certainly wouldn't be a waste.

Agree that you can maybe wait it out. Don’t agree that McCoy is somebody that should be in consideration. If we get to 9 or 10 and players are flying off the board then I would consider moving up

Agree, will say if there’s a trade into the top 10 it will be the boys doing it.

I saw a mock that had Dallas moving up to the saints pick (8) and taking Bain.

New Orleans is strongly looking at WR’s with their first pick, and the teams at 9, 10, and 11 are mostly looking at defensive players. So, there is a good chance that if NO wants a WR at 8, that’s same WR likely will still be there at 12. So it made sense for the Saints.

Dallas got:

Pick 8 - Bain
Pick 42
Pick 73

Saints got:
Pick 12
Pick 20

I’m not sure I’d do it, but I don’t hate it. There will still be some good players there at 42 and 73 (and 92 that they got for Osa).

And of course I’m a big Bain fan, so I love that about the trade.

That's too much shouldn't a 3rd be enough not two of them total of three picks just to move up a few spots

I'm staying at 12. Someone with a first round grade will fall. However 20 is up for sale.
