"Mafah's lone game played as a rookie was in the regular season finale, and given he had barely gotten any practice last season because of his long run on injured reserve, expectations had to be tempered. He flashed once or twice on his five handoffs, including getting his first NFL touchdown, and there's excitement for what he'll bring to the RB competition in Year 2. He'll need to hit the ground running though, because with Javonte Williams now the definitive RB1 in Dallas, Mafah will be pitted against Blue and Malik Davis, the latter coming off of a career year, to try and carve out a name for himself in the RB2/RB3 space."

Will they really have a #2 RB. Or will they use Blue, Mafah, Davis depending on the play, down and distance, and field position.

Will they draft a RB in the late rounds to compete with them, or even an UDFA RB.
Much there will be BPA, a RB or an OL, or another player on defense.

thats why we all like you, Coog. You never complain, you just enjoy Cowboys football.
He just complains about others complaining.
See the Mick Shots thread. :muttley:
I owe everything I do in here on a jazz response to jazz, he's the ONLY person on here in history that complains more about people complaining, as if he can do nothing else! I'm sure his life is filled with happiness and never is he upset!! Eagles fan cuts him off in traffic, he finds the eagles fan and buys him Philadelphia cream cheese!!:confused::(:muttley:

No, I smash it in their faces.
Don't Mess With Texas.

I thought his situation turned weird in 25'. He got hurt 1st or 2nd game, did pretty well.

Then gone for the season.

It's about time one of these bruiser-type RBs work out for us. The last one we had on the team was Bo Scarborough, who never really got a chance but went on to Seattle where he had some success. Javonte is the closest thing we've had to a bruiser since The Barbarian, but really, he's more like Demarco — I'd like to see Mafah get a real shot.

I heavily suspect Mafah was not hurt the entire time he was on IR, if ever. I think the report I'd heard was it was his shoulder that had him on IR — the injury he had sustained in college, yet he played the whole preseason.... Huh??

Mafah was pretty much covered up in some kind of mysterious season long is he hurt or not situation. I was/am not as big a fan as many here are as I think he not only has durability issues but is a little too slow for the pro game.

..exactly. Just bizarre. Seems like he was escape goat for the season.

Occam’s razor time

He just didn’t show enough to the coaches to earn more time

I dont think ive seen someone run like MB3 since MB3. He was really freaking entertaining to watch, just an absolute animal. I guess you'd have to go with Lynch for a similar style, but those guys are pretty rare. Its hard to match that tenacity. NY might have a guy who plays with similar aggression.

Its only the talent ahead of him thats keeping him off the field.

BTW, did we ever settle on the RB duo nickname for Blue and Mafah?.....or are we just sticking with "Mo Mafah, Mo Betta"?

This is the first draft in years I didn't care if they even draft a RB unless Love is still on the board at 12 or the or the other Norte Dame RB is on the board at 92.
