Who is one player you were dead wrong about in recent years?

Me too. And to think had we not traded up, we could’ve had Fletcher Cox
Yeah, he was so freakin average and some of the players behind him turned out to be monsters….AND we trade up! Fletcher cox, Gilmore, kuekley, chandler jones (who was really good for awhile). Listed opportunity.

He might not have the processing. Makes reads a lot like his mentor... Murry
That’s because he belongs on the outside. He was not playing his proper position.

Well he signed with Tampa Bay for $3 million and then proceeded to refuse to report to camp. ???

As I said I wanted to give him lots of rope with regards to struggling wtih mental health, but the poor decisions seem to follow this guy around like flies on poop.
Addiction is an ugly thing.

Javonte Williams

Thought he was a bum
I know this everyone of y'all are guilty or most of y'all need to come in here and apologize to J.Williams and the Cowboys for saying they had the worst running backroom ranked 32 before the season started last year and had no faith in him at all now look... :muttley:
I believe the story went if we stood pat it would’ve been Bobby Wagner and Michael Brockers as the picks instead of Claiborne.
Yep that was the rumor

Jaylon Smith

When he broke out and chased down Desean Watson, he looked like he was going to be a stud lb'er. He had a probowl year in 2019 and then completely fell off. His knee couldnt hold up.
What I was so wrong about was him; the way he fought so hard to make it back to the NFL and seemed there; and then he fell in love with being a celebrity and his play also became a parody. That was what hurt me so much; I thought he was as stand up a guy as there was and in the end he was hollow

He started for the Rams last year.
I realize that…but the Rams cornerback room was terrible last year and barring injury, he won’t be starting next year. They turned over the room this offseason, traded for McDuffie and signed Jaylen Watson.

Elam started for the Cowboys too. I agree he played better last year than his previous years but he has been a bust as the 16th pick.

I think numerous people on this board were dead wrong about Dak Prescott... Will they admit it now or must we wait 3-5 more years for his career and body to fizzle and another blown playoffs game?

Indeed a reckoning is coming.

Yep, and on the Elam front I read that KC picked him up 10days ago.
It'll be interesting to see how he plays in their defense.
It could possibly give us some clues as to who or what was at fault with our own.

Gregory. Thought he could turn his life around. Didn't account for his ten cent head.
I agree with you on that one. I was wrong about him too. Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part.

Another one for me was Kelvin Joseph. I really thought Diggs and KJ would be the new version of Larry Brown and Kevin Smith. Boy was I wrong about both Diggs and Joseph. I thought Joseph would appreciate the opportunity and make the most of it. I was dead wrong.

Shemar James . I thought he was a bottom of the roster ST 5th rounder . Someone in that maligned FO got it right by trading up for him before someone else took him in the 5th .

To me he was the best LB on the team last year and with a new coaching staff should be better this year .

I think so too. He actually led the team in tackles last year. Be mighty interesting to see what he is w/ talent around him and someone who can line up the guys.
