"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."This all sounds fishy. First saying nobody has called, then saying they won’t have contract talks.
I can’t imagine the rational for either statement without an ulterior motive.
If someone wants to trade for him, they'd have to work out a long-term contract first. So how would he go about being traded??
Dez caught it.Like I have been saying, this is going to get real ugly. I expect a Walmart video soon……
i agree. and im not saying he would be right in doing this. But i just dont think pickens is the guy to have around when he thinks he isnt being treated fairly.Well, Boy George would certainly not be happy with the Culture Club about to take place in Dallas. I don't see any solution to this except for GP to sign the tag, and demands he gets traded now? GP will undoubtedly be either a malcontent all year or just not care to play. if he remains on the roster. Which now begs the question, why on earth did the idiots trade for him in the first place?
really? Half the people in here are saying we shouldnt sign pickens and we should trade him. I prefer a long term deal, but I like the fact there is no ambiguity in that statement.FO showing more and more they are idiots. And why they can’t build a winning roster.
But we have to agree to the compensation, you're not going to negotiate just take whatever they offer uhhIf someone wants to trade for him, they'd have to work out a long-term contract first.
Teams don't want to commit long term to this guy for obvious reasons.
So he's stuck. Play on the franchise tag, or rot.
They're playing this brilliantly. All those who wanted to defend Jerry …
You were told that they never had the slightest intention of even attempting to negotiate. They had him by the balls and Jerry loves to squeeze.
Now comes the whispers to their media lackeys when GP rightfully stays away from OTAs
It’s possible that Dallas has found someone willing to trade but GP won’t sign the tag. Could be that negotiations with another team are stuck and Dallas is trying to put their finger on the scale by threatening playing on the tag.So how would he go about being traded??
What a terrible take. GPGood.
Never commit to uncommitted players.
That's what I mean like how much are they in control of thingsIt’s possible that Dallas has found someone willing to trade but GP won’t sign the tag. Could be that negotiations with another team are stuck and Dallas is trying to put their finger on the scale by threatening playing on the tag.
There is no viable reason to have him on our roster in '26 now, and I absolutely love the guy and can put up with the theatrics that come with him. Why would Baldy Jr bring this up 24 hours before the draft if for no other reason than to market the player? What he has done is this, but also makes the team vulnerable to being forced to unload him for the first/best offeri agree. and im not saying he would be right in doing this. But i just dont think pickens is the guy to have around when he thinks he isnt being treated fairly.
And i love George P.
You've clearly never managed people. What a terrible take. GP
Has fully embraced the trade and his role. It’s Jerry and Stephen who are incapable of working in good faith.
Charlatans and snake oil salesmen
Why on earth would GP find a team willing to give him a massive extensions finally achieving financial freedom for his entire family for generations to come and then at no.It’s possible that Dallas has found someone willing to trade but GP won’t sign the tag. Could be that negotiations with another team are stuck and Dallas is trying to put their finger on the scale by threatening playing on the tag.
Because Pickens is almost guaranteed to sit out until games start. The media frenzy during camp will be nothing but drama.really? Half the people in here are saying we shouldnt sign pickens and we should trade him. I prefer a long term deal, but I like the fact there is no ambiguity in that statement.
It is now that simple. You sign the tag, or you sit out. How is that drama?
