I know we signed Thompson in FA, but I would still lean Dillon and get another one for short and long term there. Hooker is only here for another year and has looked JAG-ish for a bit.

Downs is #1, but I don't really see a huge drop off between the two.

Have to come away with a DE or multiple DEs, have to come away with a CB or multiple CBs, it would be good if you got a young safety this weekend, have to come away with a LB or even multiple LBers

WR with a first round pick wouldn’t be some awful thing, but it’s hard to argue it’ll help the 2026-2028 Cowboys more than those other holes

I don’t think the safety and corner depth is as bad as people think.

Hooker is an average starter, Thompson has versatility, Locke had plenty of experience

Bland, Durant, Revel, Carson, Kendricks, Butler. There is enough there to not panic in round one. They can also add Kenny Moore for next to nothing to solidify the slot if needed

Is this enough to be elite? No. Enough to be middle tier … absolutely

I would hope at the barest of minimums that the glaring holes at edge pressure and 2nd level offball linebacker would be addressed.

If not, I will most likely enter that confused and speechless stage that this team has brought me to with past poor roster building decisions.

So again at the absolute minimum, an alfa dog pass rusher and a stud offball linebacker please.

Everything else after that I can be talked into but those are THE first priorities.

Tyson has injured pretty much every part of his body, the fact that teams are considering him in the top 10 proves that this is not a top heavy draft.

What do "Mock" draft mean?

I don't take them too seriously and I certainly don't think they are worthy arguing about. Everybody has an opinion. Some stink more than others.

I hate it

Based on what’s available that’s probably the right players to draft.

Trade down from 12 would be the best option because we are so desperate for defense but if we are stuck I think you have to take Tyson there.

This would be a huge disappointment if it happens. I am sure every Cowboys fan would simply gasp and fall into dispair. But, I really does look like a typical Cowboys draft, doesn't it? I think Hood is exactly what the Cowboys would draft.

Man these guys suck! Do they have any clue whatsoever? I'm guessing they used the dartboard method.

So, does Drew Pearson and Tony Dorsett announce the 1st round picks or the 3rd round picks?

Edit: Just looked it up and they are announcing the 1st round picks. It would be interesting to have Drew Pearson announce our 12th pick of Jordyn Tyson- WR. Although, I don't agree with that pick.
