Get an inside look inside the Cowboys War Room

Still stunning Tennessee passed on Reese.....which started the Downs falls. This was the oddest draft in so many ways. Teams suck at drafting....

Confirmation Dallas tried to get to 9 with the Browns. 12 and 20 for 9 and 24. Browns decline. Cowboys throw in a 5th. Browns say no.

I'm guessing we wanted Spencer Fano. Oh well.

So we tried to trade up to 1/9.....Interesting.....

1/9 and 1/24 for 1/12, 1/20 and a 5th

Cleveland can have him......He's not a left tackle. And I wouldn't be drafting a cross dresser.....that's for sure

I remember in the draft zone so many people said to trade up to 9 with the Chiefs would be 12&20 for 9&40ish. And Stephen is like let's do 12&20 plus a 5th for 9&24. :lmao2:

Well if you ever wonder if the Cowboys pay attention to what the media has to say about them Jerry just confirmed they do. "No team has been written about more with Downs than we have."

So Miami initially turned down an offer of 12 and a 5th for 11.

This show rocks. I have said for many years that if the league ever offered a pay service for insider access into your team's war room it would do really well. I'd pay for it.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to head coach Brian Schottenheimer before the start of this year’s NFL Draft: “The last thing in the world I’m worried about is you. And I want me to be the last thing you worry about. We just make it work.”

Schottenheimer: “I respect and love you. I appreciate you. I really do.”

Nauseating.

BS knows Jerry is fueled by emotion, and he'll hold onto BS longer if Jerry has that emotional attachment. BS is a manipulator!

So for the record....Miami said NO to the 1/12 and 5th......Stephen hung up the phone.....and it was Wil McClay that picked up the phone...and back doored the deal to get the deal done.

It wasn't a collaboration.....that was a guy going complete Rogue

That's scary....:omg:

Just goes to show there is no one in control in that room. It's a free for all

Not in my wildest dreams would I think we would walk away with Downs and Lawrence

I just can't believe there was any question in that war room....

Sure seemed like there was a lot of uncertainty for the pick......

Lawrence over Allen I'd say that was a wise decision. Geeze Allen went 53rd.

Eagles can have that Crackhead of a WR....That first night couldn't have worked out any better.

This Caleb Downs hype.

It's to the point that he needs to be a truly generational player to live up to it.
I hope he has time for football while he's curing cancer and establishing world peace.

But I absolutely think he's going to be truly special unless injuries steal it away.
