I thin Parker was the most important move of the off season.
If eber were still here players selected would be different, and my outlook would ho hum.

Having Micah for all of last season wouldn't have moved the Cowboys defense much at all! He would've been double teamed and taken out of most games and then his frustration would have shown! Getting him and Diggs out of the locker room is a huge move for the Boys!

I definitely think the Parsons trade could work out. But it was never a strategy from our ownership to rebuild defense. That was all sold narrative after the negotiations failed.

And why I can’t give any credit to Jethro. If it works out then he’s benefited or fell into it after the fact. And made the most of it.

The key will be how many years it takes to fully culminate into the results we are looking for as the window won’t stay open long on this QB and offense,

Not at all. People keep glossing over the fact that we were 28th in 2023 w/ Parsons. Guess it doesn't fit their agenda!!!

This maybe wasn't a Grand Slam but it was a Home Run for the Cowboys! Micah was great at rushing the passer and not so good against the run as he didn't hustle on non-passing play most of the time. The Cowboys defense is a far more complete unit a year later after trading him so yes, I'd rather be right where we are!!

Eberflus's defenses consistently ranked in the top 10 for points allowed in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and finished 10th in total defense in 2018.

A smart person would give him a chance.

What he meant to say is Micah lined up on the Edge a majority of the time he was on the field (in order to get to the QB), but a good Edge can not only rush the QB, they can also stop the run

That's what the trade and subsequent offseason decisions essentially brought with the money Micah wanted.

And it provided the depth to make the Osa trade possible that brought Barham.

It may be early, but this has shades of the Herschel Walker trade about it.

Best offseason roster management we've seen around here in a long, long time.

I’m happy with the deal. I’m not at all happy about how it all went down (terrible look for the organization, but Jerry doesn’t care), but the team on the field is overall better off.

I don’t know about the OP but I think we already know that Jerry wouldn’t have done any of those things, whether he could have or not.
