It would be nice if this became the new standard reference point for folks as this topic comes up daily with people debating whether he’s going to be active

"I want to bring a Super Bowl to a group of guys that never had that feeling," Pickens said. "That's really the most important part of me. I'm here to definitely help the team. [I'm not thinking about] the tag and all that. It's football first. You know what I mean?"

"When I think about the team, the run we could have had [in 2025], certain stuff just being in place and could make something bigger," he said. "I kind of think about that."

George Pickens breaks silence, addresses 2026 holdout rumors

George Pickens told us at the podium he’s NOT holding out this season.

I asked him again in the locker room if he plans on playing this season and he made it very clear he is.

Pickens says the team and the city are his motivations and winning a SB.

As for being late to meetings, it’s been discussed with the whole team what the standard is.

Exactly what I've been saying all off-season.

The media made this a problem. Pickens never did.

Pickens gets a huge raise this year with the franchise tag contract and next year, the 5-year rolling average surges for receivers and he will get his contract with the Cowboys or another team because he will have more than enough money to hold out for it.

As I said all off-season, this is really a no-brainer for both sides. They both win because the Cowboys save money this year over what they would have had to pay him and next year, Pickens gets an even larger contract assuming he has a 2026 season like he did in 2025.

This is going to upset many here…..
I don't get why guys on here keep saying this. Did anybody say they hope he holds out? Or, was it many thought there is a chance he does, potentially being a distraction? Me personally, my hope was that he goes in full force, but we may have to prepare for the alternative. At least for the time being, he's all in

Because many want to rue the day just to complain about him.

This is really cool, Dallas will be a Super Bowl contender this season folks and you can take that to the bank, not only is George Pickens a great player but he is an impressive human being to boot. This is huge for team chemistry; Pickens looked like a leader and captain in the making during his press conference. You can tell Pickens loves this team and his teammates; exciting times are returning to The Dallas Cowboys once again.

There are posters who don’t like Pickens and have been rooting for him to do stupid stuff from the day he was signed.
