Apparently, Dak is the only one who owns Hurts

Just understand...he's going to claim you never answered any of his questions and you ran. It's his ego protection scheme. Ego...such as it is.
Well, he asked me pointed questions and I answered them the best I could. If he doesn't like or accept my answers - *shrug* and whatever.

Two of those things are not like the other. Which goalpost are we choosing here?

For the record. This is what you claimed to be the truth.

So you take pieces from multiple conversations and act like it was all in one response. Thats pretty cool lil bro. But not quite accurate.

Im moving the same goal posts that are conveniently moved for different players on teams not named the Cowboys. Ive learned from the best.

Let me ask you a question though.

Is it up to a quarterback to keep scoring until his defense figures it out, no matter how many touchdowns the defense allows? If thats the case do that apply to all quarterbacks?

But yet you want to keep one player and change the rest around him. Which one us believes it is "one player"?

I don't want the "one player" constantly coming back to squeeze every dollar every 3 years and delivering NOTHING.

That's just me though...you think the team exists for Dak.

This is good!! You actually said something football related that we can actually debate on! I knew you had it in ya!

Ok, so you're saying you don't want one player cons coming back and squeezing every dollar every 3 years and delivering nothing. Thats a fair concern but you may have left out a key component or two to your argument. To answer your question, no I don't want Dak to squeeze every dollar every three years and deliver nothing.

There are other factors in that "deliver nothing" that you keep missing. No quarterback is going to deliver anything when your GM is not making the best roster moves for the team.

Dak is not elite, but he is a perennial top 10 quarterback who has placed himself in MVP considerations at times. Has Dak done enough to justify the contract he has? I really don't think so. So who's to blame for that? Who paid him, who kept him on the team? Thats Jerry. Why didn't Jerry let him walk?

Last I checked, a player can't stay employed for a franchise if the franchise doesn't keep him employed there.

Again, Dak isn't elite but he's very good and he is what we have right now. Too bad we couldn't see how far we could've taken it last year due to a 32nd ranked defense.

So you take pieces from multiple conversations and act like it was all in one response.
What on earth are you talking about? Every quote I used was in direct response to your statement, which I also quoted. (So there would be no confusion, lol)

Bottom line. You made the statement. Were called out on it three times by three posters. You gave the three responses I quoted, individually, to the three posters. Two of which backpedaled and contradicted your original statement.

I simply want to know which of those contradictory viewpoints is the one you want to go with? You can't have both, big fella.

Either prove your statement or accept and admit that you are wrong. Man up, big fella.
Let me ask you a question though.
Get back to me on this when and if you make the choice between man up, or low iq coward.

The obvious answer is the terrible defense. However, that 4th ranked offense was bad about leaning on the kicker too much. And something that irritated me a bit about the offense throughout last season - all too often Dak was the only one getting the praise. He had a decent season, sure, but he didn't do it by himself. Take Pickens off the roster and how does the offense look in 2025? He carried the offense when Lamb was out, did he not? Pickens had a monster year but I rarely heard any of the usual suspects giving him any credit for making the offense move the ball like they did. It was nothing but Dak, Dak, Dak. Someone has to catch the damn ball, right?

The offense has to try and keep up, not the QB.

But in seasons past the offense got themselves into early holes because of constant 3 and outs, not being able to move the ball, etc. Take the GB disaster for example - the defense sucked butt that day, but the offense didn't do them any favors either. They looked like world beaters once GB took their foot off the gas, though, and the usual suspects spoke only of how their hero did his best to rally the team back. Please - GB went on cruise control.

What's the question here? Yes, Dak has struggled in the playoffs and in my opinion he has earned the choker label. And yes, since he's the highest paid more should be expected of him and he simply doesn't respond well in big games. Neither did Romo.

Which 49ers playoff game are you referring to? From what I remember of both recent games against them the defense did well enough to keep the games close, but the offense sputtered. Dallas' best chance was the game where Pollard got injured - after he went down the offense crumbled and the game was over. The consensus was that SF knew that putting the game in Dak's hands was going to work out in their favor and in the end it did.

About all the penalties - hell if I know. Just don't give up and throw in the towel. Remember the 5 turnover game Romo had against Buffalo? Dallas had no business winning that game, but they did. Hope you noticed I didn't give Romo the credit for that game. I have a stalker who attacks me every time I say that name.

I greatly appreciate your response. Whether we agree on certain topics or not, I can say that you actually know football. You know how football operates. I respect that. I wish more people around here gave higher football IQ responses like you just typed.

Again, I respect you for that.

And I was talking about the first 49ers playoff game with the 14 penalties.

If your post doesn’t satisfy Steve about what I’ve been saying, nothing will. @SteveTheCowboy

You argue like a woman from the 1950s who is about to hit the fainting couch. "No QB EVER..." and then you make up a scenario that Jerry is "not making the best roster moves". Let's examine one move your myopic mind is not considering:

Investing in a top flight QB who doesn't need expensive weapons AND demand to be the highest paid ever.

The Seahawks just won the SB. THEY GOT RID OF RUSSELL WILSON.
The Rams won the SB. THEY GOT RID OF JARED GOFF.
The Chiefs won the SB. THEY GOT RID OF ALEX SMITH.

I could go on. Those QBs are BETTER THAN DAK, higher pedigree than Dak and their teams MOVED ON.

I COULD blast your PET PLAYER PITY PARTY and detail all the good/great RBs Dak squandered, tight ends, wide receivers, o-lineman...all probowlers and respected league wide. I could even mention that when the D FINALLY GETS SOME INVESTMENT Dak squanders that too. But again...I'm trying to help a special needs person here: THE QB IS THE BIGGEST CONTRIBUTOR TO SUCCESS AND FAILURE....AND GOOD ENOUGH AIN'T GOOD ENOUGH.

And again...top 10 is a GOOFY MEASURE. If your kid is in a class of 32 kids and your teacher says...."Hey, you should mortgage your house and put him/her in the best private school/college in the country...your kid is top 10 out of 32....".....YOU WOULD DO THE MATH AND HOPEFULLY MAKE A SMART DECISION.

But then again...too much gin....ain't good for math...

Your first sentence is a lie. No need to lie to try to boost up your likes lil bro. With that said, Dak has earned alot of criticism that has come his way, except for the criticism that he takes for things beyond his control.

You said, "as if nobody rags on Jerry, the defense, coaches" etc..... well where are all the multi pages of them?
So prove it's a lie then. It of course is not a lie. You are assuming two thiings cannot possibly be true. You are making assumptions because you don't SEE...or casually forget what everyone says all the time. You keep track of people THAT hard, eh? Impressive.

After 30 years...I think people are tired of creating threads about Jerry. What more do you want to talk about? Pretending there never was any...is a true lie.

By the way...don't care about likes. I'm not even sure *I'd* "like" my own posts!

Very much like TMC....argues so hard they spin themselves silly.

Well i like to exaggerate on that a lil bit sometimes, just to have fun with the resident trolls, dont mind me.

Some people around here get extra sensitive when people are called out. For some reason, trolls are coddled and protected around here.

So I'll leave that be.

With that said, a certain poster here claimed our defense wasn't fully to blame last year despite being ranked 32nd in the league and historically our franchise's worst defense. So this certain person said "the quarterback has to keep scoring until the defense figures it out".
LOL...trolls are coddled and protected? Well...that could be true in a way...as admin tries to avoid oversensorship. I think they do a pretty good job of leeway. But it only bothers YOU when you disagree with them.

"one person"...allegedly. So you go to these lengths in your crusade...over one person? Allegedly.

Well...mkay {shrug}.

Speaking of trolls ……

But it only bothers YOU when you disagree with them.

This statement alone clearly shows that you have a reading comprehension problem, because ive stated many times that I don't have any problems with the many intelligent posters that I don't agree with on topics or they don't agree with me.

Ive stated many times that there are people i don't agree with or don't agree with me, that have compelling arguments as to their reasoning for feeling the way that they feel.

So try harder next time lil bro. Maybe you can learn something from the intelligent people that I speak of who disagree with me on topics.

Let me say that for you one more time reeeeeal slowwwww.....

I... do not have... any problem with the intelligent... posters... who may disagree with me... or that i may disagree with..... I actually like.... some of... the compelling arguments.... that they may express... as the reason they.... feel that way.

I made it plain and clear for you and your one or two lil buddies. So any statements about me disliking, hating on, or calling anyone low IQ cowards and troll because they disagree with me or I disagree with them is a total lie. Have a great day lil bro!

Sorry to disappoint you, but GIN doesn't have anything to do with alcohol. Nice try. Cute lil joke.

You're saying top 10 is a goofy measure? That's interesting because there are 64+ quarterbacks in the NFL every season. You mean to tell me that its a negative thing when a player is always one of the best top 5,6 to top 10 out of 64 to 80 players at his position every season?

That doesn't sound right.

Let me ask you this.... how many other quarterbacks that put up top 4 production just last season do teams just throw away? How many top 5 to top 10 quarterbacks do teams just get rid of?

I understand your argument about the salary, but that isn't on Dak, Jerry paid him, he could have just let him go, but...

Im sure you have many examples of this that you can show us. What are the names of perennial top 10 quarterbacks that are just let go by teams?

If you can't think of many than why would Dallas do that?
