What are the Strongest and Weakest Positions on the Team?

Well maybe a bit extremly put. I wasnt in the mood to type so much to explain it thouroughly. I thought people will be able to get my point
I got your point perfectly.

You said "We have two very good ones but after that nothing." Not much gray area in that. I don't see how anyone could not understand the point from that sentence.

Strongest is obviously WR, if you ask me.

Weakest could be CB or OT, depending on how things go. A pass rush would help the corners, so I'm not sure if last year's product was all on them.

We'll see how it goes.
Strongest: K, DT, WR
Weakest: LB, OT, Edge, RB

Unquestionably, this is a more talented roster than last year. But there are still major holes that need shoring up before this team is a serious contender.

We are an injury away from having a bad RB room. The LB room has more ifs than certainty. Our LT first round pick from 2024 is teetering on bust watch.I really hope we are adding more talent before the season begins.

Unlike others here i am not on the Flournoy hype train. He had his 2nd year with us last season and finally his name was mentioned more than once. But would he have seen the field more if not for injuries? I honestly doubt it. So not because of improvement he took the field. But then he made the best out of the oportunity. Still i do not view him as a 3rd WR. He is not good enough.
There are a handful of NFL teams that have a really high level #3 receiver but I'd say Flournoy puts us squarely in the very solid top 3 group. I am encouraged by his development & think there is a good chance by end of this year he may be more highly regarded.

Also, there are only so many balls to go around and honestly the 3rd receiver just needs to take advantage of favorable matchups set up by the other weapons on the field and to pose just enough threat that they make the defense pick their poison.

Hey Bob. We certainly want Williams to continue to lead the charge but I believe our OL is the difference. If they continue \ improve their run blocking, they are the definition of why you can get away without a superior RB. I honestly believe you could put a pretty average group behind them & still churn out considerable production. Don't get me wrong, you always want a guy who can magnify what they do, but it's not mandatory if the blocking is good enough.

But you seem not to. And since you proved again and again that you are interessted, able to and so worth to have a good exchange of opinions ill spend some more time into explanation.

Turpin is no WR. He is a speedster who is not reliable. Not in his route tree, route running nor ball catching. He is not nothing but drags down the WR position in my opinion when it comes to the question the OP has.

Still i do not view him as a 3rd WR. He is not good enough. All he really had going for him coming out of college was his 4.44 speed and i dont see more after two years in the NFL. He sometimes looks shaky and lost during his route running.
Right now he is an average 4th i would say. He may prove me wrong, since he may need some more time to get a grasp of the NFL coming out of a small college. But right now ill judge him by what he showed until today not what could be.

So no, we dont have nothing after our first two WRs. We have below average talent at best. And that to me is not worth mentioning.
I'm with you that Turpin is a nothing burger. Flournoy still needs to prove he can be Cedric Wilson level reliable now that there's more tape on him. At worst he does that, at best he flourishes (see what I did there?) filling in for an extended injury to one of the top 2. Still question marks after that top 2.

good choices, I think strongest is WR, perhaps followed by IOL, with Smith, Bebee and Booker.

weakest, I tend to agree with you is OTs, they were and could be a liability and I would put LB ahead of CBs

Well my post was about strength of our positions not how good we are compared to other teams. And i do think our OG position is better than our setup at WR.

We have two (very) good guards. Our backups are OKish.

We have two very good WRs, but you need 4 WRs in todays NFL. So i have to compare the overall strength of our first 4 WRs with the overall strength of our two guards (and then the backups in each group).

And therefore to me we are stronger at guard.

Even if someone would argue, heck in todays NFL only 3 WR are real starters i still think our 2 starters at Guard are better overall than our 3 WR starters.

I got your point perfectly.

If it makes you feel better then you can also pad yourself on your back.

Conversation though is impossible with you. You are not interested in exchange of opinion. You are only interested to show others they are wrong and you are right. How and at what cost is not important to you.

I am coming from a different educational culture. And therefore its hard for me to even realize there are people like you. People who dont understand that accumulation of knowledge is something great and not dangerous. And that a discussion is a way to accumulate knowledge. Not some kind of war where you have to fight the other side to death.

But its me to blame. I tried it once again. If i have something to accuse myself of then it is the believe that you are able to change.

Oh yeah, assuming T Smith returns to form, our G tandem is probably the best in the league. At least very close.

I guess it depends on how you look at "need" for WR. If that is about depth so you can rotate them a lot or for injury, then sure you would like to have 4 that you feel comfortable putting on the field. I tend to view teams with a good running game & solid TE play as less dependent on high level WR depth though so I am good with 3 especially when 2 of them are near the top of their position.

Strongest - WR and interior OL

Weakest - Worst tackle tandem in the league

Weakest in sports - The drunken GM and his nepo baby ruddy boy.
