Just don't let all that cerebral talk get in the way of a guy running wide open going past you

Is it safe to say our front 4 will determine whether or not any of this succeeds? They provide pressure and they provide protection for the LB's which in turn free up our 1st pick to do what he does best. At least that's how I see it.

How do we live up to Caleb Downs’ expectations is the more pressing question to ask.

I expect an Ed Reed type of career. From rookie year on.
Im already worried that we wont be able to afford him after his rookie contract.

The good news that hes rumored to be switching agents to Dave Mulugheta so perhaps things will go smoothly

I get it will not be solely predicated on him...but if the defense is too 18...I would assume he met expectations....if it moves into the top 12...he exceeded expectations.

Needs to have the impact that Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu had at that position.
Anything less and the perception will be his play did not match the hype.

Because the hype is so extreme.

I say if he doesn't replace CeeDee Lamb as the team's real CD, then yeah, he'll be overrated.

25 interceptions...101 passes defended...8% completion rate...12 tackles for loss...3 sacks...no pi penalties.

Personally, I will give the young man a chance like any other rookie.

Go Cowboys!
