No, The cowboys won’t want him to play on $20m

If he’s good enough to get a second contract, the cowboys will extend him and structure it so that 2028 isn’t a $20m hit.

Average deal right now is 4yrs, $50-$60m

He would have benefited from staying for a senior year but when you are evaluated as a 1st round pick or, at worst, a 2nd, you need to go and make the bank. Linemen aren't going to make NIL money.

Players have to get reps to get better. You should know this.

The average I just checked is about 24 million, if he has anywhere near a decent season he's going to ask for something we're all going to hate

He looks like a guard to me.

A guard or a right tackle only, Thomas can play right tackle in a backup role. He could definitely give this team some good reps at guard, I have no doubt about it. I look for Dallas to draft an offensive tackle high in the 2027 draft and I mean 2nd round or even with their first pick in round 1. I believe Dallas will pick an offensive tackle and a terror off the edge pass rushing outside linebacker with their first two picks.

He's gotten plenty of practice and live game reps in his career already.

At some point, you are what you are.

There are other players who need reps too that are gated behind the reps he's been getting since he was drafted.
