I bet if you went back to last year, you could find a Landry Hat article saying the defense was looking so much better.

I remember some articles cheerleading for Elam this time last year....

But I am glad to hear something positive, and soon enough we won't have to speculate.

Yup its training camp. Every fan and media is hyped about their team at this time. The air is a little bit different this year. I alone am glad we are finally going to a 3-4 multiple defense. It is what I have always wanted here. I just hope it all translates to the field and not just training camp hype talk.

Last year's defense would have sucked w Micah Pardons. You could have hade Myles Garrett out there with Sanborn, Murray, Elam, Diggs, and several other bums and they'd have still sucked. Plus, Eberflus is cooked

I sure hope so but it's training camp and everyone looks like they have talent. If you remember, we were excited this time this year Diggs was coming back. We saw how that played out. That first game against the Giants can't get here soon enough. Hope this is true.

Exactly what I was thinking about the Eber bashing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's beyond old, and I don't even care for the guy. We had no talent, and that was blatantly obvious. Eber might suck, but last year's horrific D was not even close to on him. It was on Jerry, plain and simple. We took a D that was 28th and removed it's best player. Filled the lineup w/ rooks and JAGs and guys blatantly lacking talent. But, it's on the coach? Yes, yawn, the silly scapegoating is beyond tiring, could not agree more!!!!!!

Aint that the truth. It can't be worse than what we watched last year. For some reason, for quite some time now, unless Dan Quinn is DC, our defense is severely lacking, dreadfully outdated and behind the times to just downright godawful. Hoping Parker is going to change that. Thank God we didn't have to go through a second season of Eber- fail.

We acquired proven NFL talent. Easy assessment, has nothing to do w/ TC.

I was not excited this time last year. I predicted a 7-10 season, as our D was already bad in 24(28th) and then we dumped our best player. We also dumped one of the best slot corners in the NFL in Lewis, along w/ Kendricks and Golston.

Why were you excited about last season? Serious question, as this was easy to see coming.
