Kind of. He went to a high and tight grip on the ball and it helped some. But he still fumbled alot.

So they have to pay him whether he is cut or not.
they would open a roster spot, but it would be better to just trade him.

As for fumbles, it could be that the new defense is trying hard to get the ball out, so the off guys will get better at holding on to it.
