Blue and Mafah both looked like RB3s to me.

Of course it didn't help that Run Blocking wasn't that great when they were in the game the first half.

Davis looked decent in the 2nd half but the Oline was getting good movement.

Don't feel good about the RB2 situation.

Actually, the running backs aren't bad.

Mafah getting only 4 carries should tell you all you need to know. I think they keep Blue for the screens and getting out in space plays.

The RB room was a weakness last year and will continue to be so this year as well.

The Cowboys haven’t been serious about drafting a RB since Zeke.

Even if you got the nod to pollard he was still at the end of the fourth round.

Davis looks like a nice change of pace back with that breakaway speed. Looks like its his job to lose. Would like someone beefier for that RB3 spot in case Williams misses time.

Davis is the guy until further notice. He looks more polished than all of them.
Yes I thought so for sure. Davis has some speed, quickness, and underrated power going up the middle.
Abandikanda looked decent as well.

I did not see any of that in Blue or Mafah. Blue showed some burst on a screen pass, as his best play.

If nothing changes. Davis will be on the 53, and they could look for a RB on the waiver wire.
I was not impressed with Blue, nor Mafah.

It's Davis at RB 2 all day, in ink. He's my rb 2. The drop off after that is telling. That said, Blue might be cut. Mafah is getting better with reps but now has a chest bruise. Keep that guy.

I thought Blue left a lot of yards on the table on that screen. It was set up and blocked really well. He simply followed the blockers down the field until someone made contact with him and he fell over.

IMO, if he breaks it out wide he gets a lot more yards. Where I am going with this is that I question his vision. Its one thing to be a scatback with speed that goes down quickly. Its another thing to be that and be a straightline runner who doesn't see the open field.

True. As sometimes a screen is like a run.
Depends where the pass goes to.
Get Blue in space to use his speed. But how often, and how many plays are, or can be designed for that.
Can use him as a check down receiver at times. Then can use his speed in more open space. Then vision may not be as big of an issue.

It's already been pointed out here but it's worth repeating. If you want to differentiate between Blue and Mafah, you have to give Mafah more carries. His sample size was pathetic... only 4 carries. That's not giving him a fair chance. And neither Blue or Mafah are the RB2 in my opinion, that's Davis from what I saw.

He has a chest injury
