Needed to happen.. Bubble players can't make bonehead plays.
Big bang theoryBrown happened.
Camden Brown and a boneheaded special teams play happened. There were such high hopes for the kid. What happened?
That’s what I’m asking. Who was he better than? I don’t know who Hudson and Smith are. Maybe they are better maybe not.I am not saying he was the worst or best player. He was just a guy. But he was probably better than others on the roster.
Nope.Is Cropper still on the team?
I think Holden can blame Brown for being cut as much as the fumble. Brown ascending made it clear that Holden had no roster chance. I think Mingo is ahead of him and now Brown is ahead of him and we'd probably keep Anthony Smith ahead of him as well since we just drafted him. So with our four absolutes (Lamb, Pickens, Flournoy, Turpin), that makes at least seven ahead of him.Now can we get Camden Brown into number 80 instead of having him share number 6 with EZ?
Should MVS be ahead of younger players though? I don't think he creates any separation (from what I've seen). Yes, he's a vet .... but looks more like a progress stopper to me.Vet players Scant.ing
I don’t have him making the 53.Should MVS be ahead of younger players though? I don't think he creates any separation (from what I've seen). Yes, he's a vet .... but looks more like a progress stopper to me.
This isn't related to the Holden situation. I was asking myself this before the game. I'm just curious about the board's feelings about MVS's value.
I don't see much value in him BUT since we are trying to evaluate the QBs as well, the team might feel that having a veteran out there who's been there, done that has some value. While a rookie might make the wrong read or run the wrong route, a veteran is more likely to go to make the right choice and not hang the QB out to dry.Should MVS be ahead of younger players though? No, Jerry should lean on Pickens to take 80 so we can have Tony Hill-Drew Pearson all over again. Hopefully, Jerry went to school with someone named Pickens who wore #80 and then it's a done deal. Now can we get Camden Brown into number 80 instead of having him share number 6 with EZ?
I don't know. I like players in jersey numbers that are not tied to other players. No one has really laid claim to No. 3 in Cowboys lore. I hate arguing over which 88 is the best 88 because Jerry keeps giving the number to our top picks at the position. No, Jerry should lean on Pickens to take 80 so we can have Tony Hill-Drew Pearson all over again. There’s no way for us to know. All we see are 2 or 3 second clips of a practice or scrimmage. The coaches that are with them every day are the only ones who have an idea. That’s what I’m asking. Who was he better than? I don’t know who Hudson and Smith are. Maybe they are better maybe not.
Actually both can be true ,I was impressed by him last year in training camp, so I'm guessing either he has regressed or other players are just playing better than him this year.
Schramm/Landry started the 88 tradition. They originally gave 1986 #1 Mike Sherrard 88 but he didn't want the pressure and switched to 86. They then drafted Irvin #1 in 1988 and gave him the number. So Jerry just kept the tradition that was already started.I don't know. I like players in jersey numbers that are not tied to other players. No one has really laid claim to No. 3 in Cowboys lore. Camp body at best in my opinion.Should MVS be ahead of younger players though? I don't think he creates any separation (from what I've seen). Yes, he's a vet .... but looks more like a progress stopper to me.
