Would you Trade Milton?

NO. I know it's preseason but Milton is greatly improved and is only going to get better.

I don't think we need Sam Howell but we did give him a fully guaranteed deal of $2.5 million.

Lol. I love it, and I’ve said it before also.
He is valuable enough for someone to want him, but not valuable enough to keep
Everybody wants our trash, lol

He’s signed thru 2027. Cowboys got time. Keep him this season. They might need him.

While the NFL is starved for QB talent, one PS game won't change his stock too much.

He had one solid game with the Pats.
Even after that his value wasn't all that when they traded him to us.
He has the tools, but still TBD if it can all be arranged in his toolbox.

With Dak's durability concerns, and Milton relatively low value, I would just keep him. This is year 3, so we still have another dirt cheap year with him.
I do think everything is a little more open.

When windows get tighter then will he be back to making mistakes?

But if he just cuts down on mistakes he’s physically an elite talent.

Everything you can’t teach he has. His problems are correctable.

No do not trade him unless it’s an offer you can’t refuse - especially if he has potential to succeed dak in a few years. I don’t know that he has that potential but a really good backup at least given how dak seems to get hurt substantially every other year since 2020

Dak under contract thru 2028 season and any competition between he and Milton is imagined. Dak remains the man for this season. I don’t foresee any offers for Milton that would eclipse his current value as Dak’s caddy. If Milton shows well in preseason finale - he locks it down and Howell goes to PS. JMO

Joe Milton’s stock has never been higher.

He’s obviously a super talented player.

If a QB needy team wanted to do a player trade would you do it?

A Corner or Offensive Tackle on a Rookie deal or a affordable Vet who is above average?

I think I’d pass because QBs are so important but if you’re wanting to go all in then that’s really going all in.

1 more corner on defense would be huge for this team too.
To put it bluntly?

No.

I could see a desperate team offering us a 2nd rounder. I wouldn't take it, because there is a real possibility that he could either sooner or later (Dak injury or retirement) be our starting QB.
