We moved back 13 spots or so for Jones. That's it. Don't bore me with 6th round picks. Don't care about those.

Sounding more and more like they brought him in to succeed Steele, who will be the swing for the remainder of his contract after Jones takes over at RT. Clearly won’t be straight away though.

Ideally, I think they’d like him to replace Steele, both this year and in the future. I think they’d like to ‘transition’ the money they’re paying Steele towards a long term contract with Jones.

Ummm, I am no doctor, but I believe you are underplaying just how serious his major spinal fusion surgery was a;n. The hope might be that he can regain full health, but to suggest he will be better than ever? C'mon, man, this sounds as serious as the one Vander Esch had and both play high impact positions

He came into the league raw. Started out at left tackle. Moved to right tackle partway through his rookie season. Moved back to left tackle before his third season. That's not a lame answer for a player that needed technical work to begin with.

Moving around is not easy for every lineman. Go back to 2020 when Dallas had to play Zack Martin at tackle for a short time out of necessity. He looked completely out of sorts and he's a Hall of Fame level talent.

Eh. "I can't be a swing tackle" is a dumb thing to say for a guy at this point in his career, whether there's truth to it or not.

Zack Martin was like 33 and was perfectly fine at RT.
