We should sign a 3rd QB

we need a 3rd QB whether on practice squad or roster, a couple of decent ones were released this past weekend, Levis, Hooker, Buecele, Johnson, Dekkers, Clark, oh and Milton. I believe all of them are eligible for the practice squad.

They are leaving a spot open for as long as possible for Milton. If he's too butt hurt they'll eventually have to sign someone.

Nobody wanted Dak Prescott.

It is extremely doubtful Dak Prescott would not have been selected during the 2016 draft. Several teams were interested in him. The Broncos scheduled him for a visit, but Prescott missed the flight (link).

Nice, thanks for the list. I’m hoping for a developmental guy that is younger but has a lot of upside. Anyone on this list that would meet those criteria. I want Joe back but it’s not lost on me that he’s 26 and still a project. If he ever gets over the hump he might be 28-30 and only have a couple good years. I’m hoping we sign a young guy with a high ceiling to replace the 26 year old with a high ceiling.

No, it's not. You don't have to have one, and can put any player under center that you want if you lose your top two QBs.

The only thing the NFL has now is a rule that allows you to not count a third QB against the 46-man active roster. However, that QB must be on your 53-man roster. So if we brought up a quarterback from the practice squad, he'd have to count against the 46. I don't see us doing that, so I think we'll only carry two QBs to games. Not sure who the emergency guy would be.

Nobody wanted Dak Prescott. Not even Dallas. Dallas wanted Connor Cook. Romo gets hurt. Dak takes over and never hands the job back. Don't act like this has never happened before in the NFL, much less here in Dallas.

Nobody wanted Dak? I am one of the biggest critics of Dak on this board, yet for a 4th-round pick, the Cowboys got way more than they bargained for with him. Milton has been passed around more than Jerry's ex-girlfriends, and seemingly nobody still wants him. To think that if Joe were still on this team and was asked to step in for a few games if Dak was hurt, resulting in Prescott losing his job? All this fake Milton success has fans like you thinking that one half of a game vs a bunch of 2nd- and 3rd-stringers on a team that may not win a game this season is beyond delusional
