In my honest opinion.... Dak should have been the first one to somehow renegotiate his contract and free up even more money. I can't tell another man what to do with his money, but Dak is already set for life and if he wanna really compete for it all and remain part of a highly competitive team to help him cement a real legacy, he could help bring in more talent teamwide by freeing up some of his salary.

Correct. This is designed to allow them to make a move in season , based on what some of the local beat writers are suggesting. I don’t expect a move to happen now

It also might not be about saving money. Maybe the Raiders want to play one game see how they feel about the team first before they make this trade. Not saying this is what is happening just saying alternate view point of it.

First, only two QBs have ever actually given away money. Brady and Rodgers. A couple of others have built their deals to have incentives that lower the AAV, but they end up getting it all anyway.

Beyond that, say Dak gave the cowboys $10m and was paid in the Daniel Jones/Kyler Murray range. what do you think Jerry is going to do with $10m? He’d probably jsut keep it and roll it over.

You make great points that I definitely can't dispute. All im saying is championship caliber teams have depth and im sure whatever Dak could give up probably wouldn't lock down multiple elite players, but im sure it could help with very good depth players around the team to strengthen the team as a whole.

Crosby just tuned 29. There is the knee thing but I for one with the history of the Ravens on that sort of thing do not take the failed physical part seriously.
Figure he has three years or real production left
which is probably about all Dak has left before injuries or just father time has him about done
so in that respect I can see it
