I’m with that. The guys that are already here need to perform. Period.

I don’t at all see why anyone wants to part with more higher end draft capital for a rusher. They are fine there. Vets and youngins. Let em play it out.

They just recently used a second and a first on the position, and dealt a fourth for Gary. They have to perform, or at least be given the chance. If they were going to trade for Crosby, the pick used to select Lawrence was what should have been used.

If the Baltimore situation didn’t happen, Dallas probably wouldn’t have Caleb. I do believe they offered pick 12.

No way was it what they intended to do, but several things broke well over the last 11 months, and they’ve got a nice team on paper to show for it. Just go get it done.

Yup I believe they do. Trade the draft capital and go for the SB imo. Defense doesn’t have depth at CB or DE, and possibly LB. A lot of uncertainty

I think they are fine at those positions for now. See what they can do.
Remember the DE's and the OLB's are the same players.
CB, yeah maybe could use better depth. But if Bland return to form. They will be ok for now.

To me as a fan. It is a new season. Anything can and will happen.
It is exciting to see how it all unfolds and plays out.
Will we be surprised, disappointed. Who knows but football is here. And we all should be excited. Instead of the same old doom and gloom.

That’s what Stephen and Jerry said at a press conference five days before game one last year. That a platoon of pass rushers and Eberflus’ schemes would more than make up for what was lost.

By the time they figured out they were wrong, at the bye week, it was too late, and even then they couldn’t address the pass rush.

I’m not really advocating for making a big trade. I’ve always thought the defense was a two year tear down and rebuild, so I don’t want to burn picks in a draft that could decide what this team looks like for the rest of Dak’s window. We already spent one on a future help player who is a free agent in six months. We need to keep the rest

I get both sides of the camp here. I understand the 2027 draft is supposed to be deep with talent, and playing in the draft is fun, but I also understand the argument for pushing your chips in.

Take the Rams, for example:

The Rams flip picks like they’re Skittles, and it’s worked out pretty damn well for them over the last decade or so. How many times have we thought that franchise was dead because they traded away their draft capital? And yet, here they are again, looking like one of the teams to beat in the NFC.

Even this offseason, they shipped out a first, fifth and sixth, plus a 2027 third, for Trent McDuffie. Then they turned around and went and got Myles Garrett.

The big thing is, you have to really trust the idea that this team has a legitimate shot at a Super Bowl.
