While not as explosive as Malik Davis can be, I'm actually excited to see Demercado run.

As I said before, he's got the best hole adjustments I've seen since Emmitt Smith was here. And, no, I'm not saying he's the next Emmitt Smith.

I'm specifically talking about that side shuffle technique he uses to square on the hole/gaps.

Most running backs (Elliott for example his first 3-4 years) learn to pause and wait for the hole to develop. Demercado sidesteps to them or bounces outside (like Emmitt used to do) and keeps going.

He also does something else like Emmitt used to do .. he's good at avoiding big hits.

His ability to shift his feet and keep moving is impressive.

What’s funny is when Blue was a rookie there were reports by “anonymous” sources that his work ethic was lackluster and that’s why he wasn’t getting the ball. Not pointing fingers here but the majority of fans initially went on the defensive and mocked the “anonymous” sources because they liked Blue’s speed, he came from UT, yadda yadda yadda. Turns out “anonymous” was spot on. Maybe don’t be so quick to dismiss “anonymous” sources in the future, it seems they’ve been right more often than wrong.

They will definitely get some carries Not sure who they're gonna call up but you're you're right They're not gonna put all that load on Williams game one That's why this is worse because Davis was prepared to probably have more carries than he had most of his career in a real game... I hope it's not too serious I heard it could be a hip.. Honestly, you could grab Davis or Blue or Mafah and throw them out there and they all would probably do about the same. Demercado is definitely a level above any of them and is the natural choice to be the backup. Abanikanda had a decent preseason so likely gets moved up. Bring in someone to fill out PS.

I would not ever sign Blue back because I think the bridge has been burned and he honestly just isn't good enough to worry about.

Davis is a big loss for the Special Teams units. Dallas should bring in Dare Ogunbowale or Pierre Strong who have extensive Special Teams experience in multiple roles. Strong is actually a solid all around RB that would challenge for RB 2 reps. Demercado can be the primary backup RB.

If they don't care about Special Teams then the best available guys are Antonio Gibson, Kareem Hunt and Dameon Pierce.
