Fans blaming Dak

If you read the thread, everyone called out those issues as well. You can see all those things but you can't see his role in the loss?
What I saw....just speaking for me...and it's what really puzzled me....were comments complaing about Dak...while the defense was on the field getting manhandled!!!!!!!!!!!

Dak had a bad game but I’m more concerned with our inability to run the ball

Dak Vader to the defense of Prescott and the Cowboys way, the bigger the stakes the lousier he plays.
everyone wants their pound of flesh after a loss. Dak was not perfect. But even if he was...it is way more shocking that this defense is what it was last year...a clueless sieve!!!! We are a .500 team at best if the defense from last year is going to be what we get this year. Who has more room for improvement after watching that game....Dak or the defense?

Ah, the good old "but it wasnt Dak's fault" threads right at the beginning of the season. Dak fans never disappoint. :flagwave:

It's gonna be a loooong season.

The thing is with the interception he was doing the right thing.. he had pressure and he was throwing the ball away. Dude just made a heck of a play. It couldn’t have happened at a worse time but he didn’t try to force the ball to a receiver. I can’t be believe how inpatient people are being. These first 3-4 games are gonna be pre season ish.. I watched every announcer on every game say the same thing. It’s pre season for these guys. Patience, patience, patience…

Yall can miss me with the blaming Dak Crapola.

When your defense plays that poorly, worse thsn any performance last year, which was purtid in itself, no QB will overcome all that.

Cowboys had the ball just over 8 minutes total in second half and scored both times. The D just flat sucked.

4 dropped passes. 4. And some of you want to blame Dak?

Get outta here with that.

Let's take the loss and the poor play of the defense off the board for a second. One question. When the game was still in doubt, what is your opinion of Prescott's throw when Lamb got behind the defense for a sure touchdown?
The one where all he needed to do was throw it over his inside shoulder and he threw it 3 yards outside of him? The one where Ceedee looked back in total disbelief? Is that the one you're talking about?

the D was terrible, but blaming one group is ridiculous

Defense didn’t throw a needless pick meant to be a throwaway. Defense didn’t throw awful routine out route to CD on first play. Defense didn’t massively under throw every deep ball, especially the easy one to CD late game. Defense didn’t throw an inaccurate throw to Javonte Williams standing 10 feet away on a HB screen. Defense didn’t make Ferg have to completely flip his body on a flat route to catch the ball.

I do not understand how people do not see how inaccurate and late Daks throws are. This is well documented and proven in tons of film reviews. Dak is a good guy but he’s an avg QB at best
But if they're anywhere inside the receiver's catch radius they are accurate to the stat watchers .

The interception was horrible decision making. Just dumb. That was consistent with the rest of the team. Defense was the largest culprit. Coach was dumb not going for it and setting the tone.
Coaching and game prep were the worst. But that doesn't excuse Dak. He had the deer in the headlights look early on and it never got better from there.

Dak has no excuse, he's eleven yrs in. And it has nothing to do with the latest loss. We've all seen the stare in the biggest moments before the choke takes place.

It's obvious to me that the defense is a work in progress.
I expect it will take more than a year to wash away the stink.

We'll get a clearer view about how much work has to be done (improvement) once the team moves further into the season.

In terms of Prescott, I feel he has reached his ceiling.

If you are blaming Dak for this loss....you should be banned from talking football. This defense was a sieve.
Dak got outplayed by Jaxon Dart. That's just a fact. The INT before halftime was a killer. So, though Dak was not the main problem, he didn't play well enough to matter which is concerning given his contract.
