Dallas refused to address LB in the draft or the offseason

I’ve never been a fan of the 3-4 defense because it uses your LBs like DEs. There isn’t that MLB presence and it showed last night. Nobody like Fred Warner to protect the middle just behind the D line. Nobody to fill the gaps on running plays.

About 2/3 of the league are now running it, so they can't all be bad. The OLB's are more like DE's than off the ball ILB'S

LB problems-it doesn't help when you give quality draft picks away to easily. The price for Q.Williams was too much.
Honestly I don’t mind it too much because they did get a really good player but you’re also not wrong at all here.

NY gets our better 1st round pick of two teams starting 0-1 this season. The end result of the Q trade could actually be worth more than what we received for Parsons.

At the time as pleased as I was to get Williams I did not like the 3rd round pick element nor them getting the higher of the first rounders. Jets got great compensation.

I think the Cowboys defense looked lost last night. It was not a matter of effort.

Barham is a rookie and he will get better. Overshown has always be a hit or miss guy. Malachi Lawrence is also a rookie so I will give him a pass even though he looked overmatched. Very few rookies are going to make a difference .

I thought the Cowboys outside players we just awful especially on the right side of the defense. The Giants sealed them off all night. But again, they looked lost.

Houston is a one trick pony. He can rush the passer but he is a liability against the run. The two guys who played the best in the pre-season were Land and Wheat.

Respectfully those are two depth pieces and an often injured and undersized LB playing out of position
I think the Overshown/Winters type of coverage LB's are what CP wants. It appears Parkers' D is based on massive D-Line with a Hybrid Box behind that can provide disguised schemes.
Most of us would prefer a Bobby Wagner run stuffing MLB....but I guess Parker wants flexibility.
