Week 3 features one of the more highly anticipated matchups of the season, with Lane Kiffin returning to Oxford as No. 7 LSU and No. 8 Ole Miss go head-to-head.

It’s a revenge game on both sides, as Pete Golding, Trinidad Chambliss and Co. look to prove they’re better off, and Kiffin and his haul of transfers seek the last word.

LSU enters the matchup as a narrow 2.5-point favorite on the road.

Agreed.

Agreed. Some of the most eye catching teams so far seem to be Miami and LSU, but it’s still too early to know for sure.

LSU looked like dogpoop for like 35 minutes on Saturday.

I suspect they are being overhyped due to the Kiffin train. But they'll get their chance soon enough.

Miami has looked the "cleanest" but they've played two total dogs so at this point, who really knows who is best. I'd put Texas at #1 becasue they have the best win by far of any team in that Top 6-8 range.

These polls are hilarious.

Take Miami and Notre Dame. After Week 1, ND got 4 first place votes, Miami got 1. Miami shellacks an FCS school and suddenly they got 4 first place votes, ND destroys Rice and falls back to 1 first place vote.

Like, what happened in either of those games to suddenly be like, oh, that team is better than I thought and that team is not?

PS - Keep your tighties unclenched, there is nothing wrong with Miami getting more first place votes than ND, I just find the logic in the shift in first place votes to be hilarious and typical of the silliness you see in polls.

It’s not rude at all when a national TV reporter tries to interview you after a game in front of tens of millions of viewers, and you instead scream something incoherently and walk away.

He’s long been kind of douchey and carries an arrogance like he’s one of the great coaches.

Teams are still in the throws of playing dogs early in the year but there are some interesting games for the Top 10.

- FSU goes to Bama and FSU didn't look terrible against a pretty decent SMU team.

- Of course you have the Ole Miss-LSU game which could be wild.

- Miami finally plays a team with a pulse. WF isn't terrible and the game is on the road.

- ND plays Michigan State, who is pretty mediocre but better than say who Indiana is playing (Western Kentucky, LOL).

- Georgia is at least playing a real D1 opponent, although Arkansas looks to be disappointing yet again.

- I don't know if I trust A&M but I thought UK would be better and they got pantsed by Bama last week.

But the real shocker was Oklahoma state losing to Tulsa but then coming back to beat Oregon. I guess that beat down from last year was still a bit raw.
Lane and LSU irritating their own Conference with their shenanigans.
Michigan robbed W Michigan they should have lost that game but the refs made a bad call...but the next week they beat Oklahoma.

Sam Leavitt pops up on the LSU injury list last night listed as "doubtful".

Ole Miss isn't buying it and people in the SEC league office are now looking into it. There are no reports previously of an injury at practice, etc.

LOL, Kiffin being Kiffin, I assume.
