At some point we need to start admitting that the talent on defense has not improved.

I don't understand why this is such a mystery to some.

I did not solely blame it all on Micah. But that is the topic. How he effected or did not effect the defense.
Lack of playoff success was on the entire team.

But this was what did Micah do to truly help.

Of course it did. Providing some semblance of a pass rush masked other weaknesses on defense like in secondary.

Obviously it wasn’t enough overall like in run defense but at least with Prescott healthy we were a playoff team.

Imagine how much better our defense and DL would have been with Parsons if other 1st round picks weren’t bust like Taco and Mazi.

I’d argue it was more of the talking heads in media that fans often gravitate to who are often looking for click bait.

Most of the local beat writers and media I follow took a similar wait and see approach as I have recognizing we’ve upgraded and overhauled defensive roster and hoped it could or should develop into more than last year but still unknowns with a new inexperienced DC and the schemes implemented along with concerns of pass rush.

And had warned to tone down the hype until results begun to come in.

Many of us tried to tamp down expectations for the most obvious of reasons, but the CZ operates in a vacuum like every other sports site.

And honestly every fan can feel some kind of way about expectations......its just hard to watch them get their hopes so high when just a part of the problems have been addressed.

And honestly every fan can feel some kind of way about expectations......its just hard to watch them get their hopes so high when just a part of the problems have been addressed.

But like I said, to each their own

I don’t have a problem with some fans getting their hopes up. And everyone is entitled to pursue their fandom however they choose .

I think most including myself felt the prospects were more promising this season but we didn’t attach playoff predictions and hype, etc and we continued to warn putting the cart before the horse waiting to see how it developed .

And it’s still too early to make those determinations. But at least out of the gate which most of these overly optimistic fans didn’t present it would be this slow of start we must hold their feet to the fire.

That’s all part of the fan forum and social media environment which holds them accountable. If you just want to be a cheerleader and throw up that crap without accountability then be prepared to take pushback .

We better get it fixed quickly or we will be looking at facing 0-3 headed to Rio and Ravens.

And then face Texans, Packers and Egirls in 3 of the 4 following weeks .

I’m not sure this team can afford to fall into 2-6 or 3-5 type record . The firestorm could engulf the team and coaching staff.
