Dak is a greater QB than Aikman?

The question was never were they as talented as the previous team the question was did they have talent and more than everyone else?

Great points. There would always be lesser known guys step up in those playoff years may have been fresh legs didn’t think of that.

Handing the ball off to Emmitt has very little to do with reading a defense. If he was so great why did he lose damn near every game Emmitt did not play?

While that is true, in 1995 the D was 9th in yards and 3rd in points, O was 5th.

And I wouldn't say not nearly, in ways they were better. Larry Allen had been added along w/ Deion. The primary pieces were all still there. OL was considered the best in the NFL. Only real downturn was losing Ken Norton and Jim Jeffcoat.

Could be, but no one comes close to his negativity. His sole purpose on this site appears to be insulting anyone who disagrees w/ him. Goes out of his way to be miserable and try to drag others down in his misery.

Emmitt Smith holds out for 2 games in 1993. We lost both games.

1st loss - Troy could not beat the 4-12 Commanders without Emmitt. Got beat bad 35-16.

2nd loss was to Buffalo 13-10. Troy tried to carry the team throwing 45 times. Zero TD's and threw 2 INT's.

Troy was a very good bus driver. Maybe the best bus driver of all time. His stats other than 3 rings are not good.

By the way Emmitt got hurt later in the year and played half a game and we lost. He missed the next game and we lost. We went 12-4 that year. Troy lost every game with out Emmitt.

You mean all 2 of them? Yeah, great example size.

And before you start counting, From 1990 to 2002, Emmit missed all of 7 games. I have no idea how many games they won/lost w/o him. Such a small sample size would mean nothing anyway. And then you have to ask, who was the backup? In the 2 games when Emmit held out, we had a crapp backup.

Yeah, just not accurate. Troy is a top 20 all time QB. 2nd tier great. 1st tier only has maybe 8 QBs in it, BTW.

I don't know if by that point in the 90's the final super bowl, that the Cowboys were the most talented team still in the NFL. Heck, I know Larry Brown was the Super Bowl XXX MVP, but our secondary had some speed issues I could see in the Greenbay game right before it. If we had played the 49ers instead of Greenbay, the 49ers already had our number at that point and we might of lost that game, The 1996 Cowboys weren't nearly as talented as the three teams before them.

They were still ultra talented. If SF was more talented, it was barely, not enough to matter.

Cooper Rush drove the bus. Aikman owned the fleet.
