Daks the only reason the Cowboys had a chance

Exactly
That is the thinking these guys are arguing that Schotty said:

Dak, now listen to me and listen good, we are not trying to win so even if Pickens is wide open, do not throw it to him, throw it into the stands because we havent been already embarrassed enough as a franchise, we would like another opportunity

Especially with a gassed and depleted sub par defense that’s hanging on by a thread so, let’s force OT and roll with our defense to stop them. Brilliant.

The reason we did not win this game
First possession not running the ball into the end zone
Missing a field goal
Fumbling the football by the tight end
Not kicking the ball into the field of play, giving Baltimore time to get into field-goal range
So many bad coaching calls
Prescott missing Pickens, was just part of the equation, but not the reason we lost
So, and please do try to use the one brain cell you have left, if Dak had made the throw to Pickens, would we have won the game or lost the game?

So I should just let you have your fun , even though it’s ridiculous, thinking one play , won or lost this football game visionary, you better change your avatar, I don’t see any vision

Jerry fought hard to land him

Its common knowledge that Shoddy had 31 other offers ( yes, Andy Reid would be jettisoned).

Just blessed that Ben Johnson wasnt hired here. Dodged that bullet.
He heard Shoddy was going to install a ping pong table and was sold.

Would we have won if Dak had thrown to Pickens?

Yes or No

Of course im talking to a Dak stan so……

That is correct.

However, Dak needs also a good coach and a defense who can stop the run at least.

He is not a elite qb, but he is the reason this team isn’t on bottom 10… yet.

Dude thinks he’s some kind of lawyer :lmao2:

The bottom line is when we needed Dak to deliver a touchdown to give us the best chance to win, he gave us a field goal.
He makes $60 million +plus a season; he's seated in the most important position on the field; it is his responsibility to make the play to win the game when the ball is in his hands.

He did not. PERIODT!

I keep waiting for him to be just half of a Brady or Montana or Staubach.

He isn't.

He's a compiler who doesn't possess a clutch gene, especially when the team needs him most.

And 11 years into his career he aint gonna develop it.

Good, but not good enough which isn't good enough for the Dallas Cowboys.

make one quarterback bad throw the sole reason they lost.
Sole reason? Probably not. One of the bigger reasons? An offense that loaded to sit on an opponents 2 yard line and crap the bed. You don't think that is a large enough reason? Am I to understand that the offense only has the capacity to score 31 points. If they are expected to keep scoring TD's after that it's no good?

I keep waiting for him to be just half of a Brady or Montana or Staubach.
Hell I'd rather he try to be half of Danny White at this point. Utter and total joke of QB play and the moron of an OC/HC with his cute play calling. Your defense is gutted and the imbecile decides to go down and throw the ball instead of running it.

For the play in question. Shotty is mostly to blame but dak needs to understand situational awareness and realize the coach is wrong. I put some blame on Dak.

Shotty needs to be fired for that decision
Just stop! Nothing is Dak's fault. There isn't a single loss that's on him and he is the only reason we've ever won a game since he's been here. Get with the program or you're not a real fan.

Dak is a franchise QB with faults. He showed some faults today. Shotty I'm not sure what to say
When you are the better team you can play conservatively and win. When you aren't then you need to take more risk and force the outcome. What we have is the opposite. When it's obvious that a single mistake likely won't lose the game they have the courage to look like a hero. But when the decision is critical they're too scared to push it.

All I know is at the end of the game Dallas had their strongest unit on the field with a chance to win the game outright. You want your QB to step up there and take the game over. Whether or not he completes that pass at the end is irrelevant. You want your QB to have enough confidence to make the throw and live or die by the result, not sail it away and play for the safety of OT. A QB that wanted to win that game would have seized the moment, even if it meant giving the HC the middle finger and going and taking the game.
This was a situation of "no risk it no biscuit". Too scared to win the game.

Him and the rest of the offense kept coming from behind to take the lead despite the terrible play calling. Even tied the game with 7 seconds to go. Yes he should not have thrown it away but it never should’ve gotten to that point. Anyone putting the blame on Dak for the loss is just a Dak hater and not being objective about what happened yesterday.

Go Cowboys!
So no one can criticize Dak or they are just a blind hater? Negative Dak comments can not possibly be objective?
You will be my chief of communications when I take over a small country.
