It ain’t November yet, but we are what we are. Will getting Thompson, Durante, and Porter Jr on the field make us better? Yes, indeed. But we still can’t stop the run. We still can’t rush the QB or contain him. We still struggle to tackle QBs and RBs. Parker refuses to adapt. Even the pick six king can’t catch a pick six right in his hands.

This team has not won its last game, but I think 6-7 total wins is being optimistic. We know the offense will play better games, but I don’t see how this defense can get much better…..or much worse. LB is a major problem, and we have no one who can sack the QB even with a free run. So disappointed in EZE’s inability to get anyone on the ground, not even with a free run and both hands on him.

Even with magical improvements in all of the areas you mentioned...
None of that will make any difference against any playoff caliber teams we go up against. We need to be already someplace much better, to then, improve from there.

I'm not going to waste any more energy being angry about this team. I spent too many years doing that. I don't go into games expecting wins, so losses just don't bother me a lot. All I look for is exciting games, and this one was kept exciting by that quick score and defensive stop. The loss is what it is.

All a team has to do is blitz. Dak is just not as good a quarterback when he has to react quickly.

His entire career he has actually feasted on the blitz, but QBs like Dak who are known to kill blitzes do so when the blitz is slowed down. There were way too many free runners coming right at him. I’m not sure why we didn’t go max protect and run 2 man routes like last week vs Houston.
