I don't like Dak but Schotty is the real problem here

Dak is a veteran and didn’t play well yesterday, period. I don’t like him as my QB but I’m not here to talk about that today beyond that. My problem with this unit in 2026 is the coach. They’re softer now than ever! They don’t look like a team that cares enough to fight for their head coach and THAT IS damning. It worries me that Dak thinks that this game against the Buccaneers was a game they should have won. What is the coach telling them in that locker room? That they’re the Cowboys and showing up is enough for them to win? We also played like **** against the 0-3 Texans in the first half too. We can’t keep coming out slow and unprepared against at the times winless teams or any team for that matter. It’s on the coaching. This is my least favorite era of the Dak era and I don’t think that’s hyperbole or recency bias. FIRE Schotty!

The problem is the owner who keeps hiring experimental prospects as coaches. A team that was bottom last as their defensive unit should never hire an experimental coach as their defensive coordinator. At this point most of the coaches of this team are learning on the job. These were coaches hired by an owner whose franchise has not made it to the NFC championship game in over 3 decades. Nothing changes for this team with the Jones running the show. 10 years with Garret told me everything I needed to know about where this once a great franchise stands.

Sure the Boys got the better over Houston, but Tampa could see in film the tendencies that allowed Dak to move the ball down field. So… blitz banking on changes on O-line; zone coverage with Tampa 2 concept and take away short reads. Dallas was woefully outcoached.

And defense???? #1 was to stop the run and make Daniel’s beat you with the pass… Nope… and poor prep with DBs yields horrible penalties that allowed extended drives.

This game wasn’t on players - it was coaching prep and soft mindset against a 0-4 team coming into Dallas…

What sealed it for me was Dak saying this was a game that they should have won. This culture isn’t working and while it’s only five games in this season, the wheels have already come off. If we win 9 games it will be in despite of the coach

Dak is who he is at this point. He'll have some good games followed by a stinker that you can tell he's off early.

Schotty/coaching staff sucks. This is 100% on Jerry and his cheap *** son. My only joy out of this is that they know they wasted another season and well Jerry is 84.

Thats not the conclusion you draw from last night. It is not Shotty's fault that Ferguson caused 2 INTs or that Turpin fumbled away a kickoff return. The problem with this team begins and ends with a defense that cannot get off the field and a DC that has no idea what he is doing.

Aaah, shut it. Dak was constantly under duress. CeeDee got injured. We had no running game. GP was constantly double teamed. Ferguson had 2 passes go right through his hands and get tipped into the air for interceptions. The defense played like crap and never got off the field. Dak was the only one who could be trusted. If you don't like him, too bad. That is your problem, but Dak was not the problem.
