This will make you sick.

A reminder on the process that led to the Cowboys hiring Brian Schottenheimer:

- Dallas sent Mike McCarthy into lame duck 2024
- The season went predictably bad
- They missed the playoffs
- They spent the Wild Card Round doing nothing, going back and forth with him
- This made potentially interviewing top candidates at the time (Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn) impossible, literally
- Monday of the Wild Card Round they finally separated
- The first report of Schotty being connected to the job was because he was the betting favorite out of nowhere
- It was after that it was reported he was having an interview
- They announced him as the new head coach on a Friday night, very un-Cowboys

The whole thing was a mess and so of course here we are.

many of us said at the time that he never should have been the hire. He wasn’t qualified. He wasn’t even an option for any other team as a head coach.

I then decided to give him time and let the results speak for themselves.

The results are fully in. He sucks. There’s a reason nobody ever hired him as a HC before and he will never be a head coach again.

Also, the Mike McCarthy lame duck season was also BS. They let him coach out his contract while KNOWINGLY not giving him a roster capable of competing in his final season. It was legitimately a wasted season flushed down the toilet.

All because Jerry is a stubborn, arrogant, cheap piece of garbage.

Yup and we had fans telling us he was better than Johnson, and Glenn because had more experience.

Bad experience i experience I guess.

Glad hes changing the culture though.

Hope Dak still likes him

And I'll own up to it. I thought it was a terrible process/hire at the time. But then he did a few things that I liked, and the staff cultivation looked good (Adams/Riley). And it looked like we had something with Parker also... but like, this team has enough talent that the result should be better than this.

Getting bullied by an 0-4 team without it's starting QB is absolutely rock bottom for this franchise in the Dak era.

And if we're changing Head Coaches, you have to ask the question... should we just blow it all up?

They already did a mini-rebuild after 2025 so I'm not sure if they have the cajones to do a full rebuild.

Big mistake from the get go, I shouted from the roof tops on how poor this decision was. I was an advocate of firing him immediately for Harbaugh but here we are.

Shotty needs to be fired since Baltimore and keeping him around accomplishes nothing.

This is par for the course for the Jones boys. How many more examples and years of this do we need to see? This is one of the worst franchises in the NFL with no end in sight.

If you’re pinching yourself that you’re lucky to be there then you’re probably not locked in and all over the finer parts of the job

He’s probably like that Paul Rudd gif where he’s like “look at us!”

I imagine when the chips are down the coaches mock Jerry and disassociate

Could you imagine being 28 year old Christian Parker and some visor wiener walks in your office and a bunch of pens are falling out of his hat like fish hooks on a fisherman piece and he’s like we gotta grab some intrumceptions broham and then he moonwalks out of there

If they rebuild under Jerry, we will never see anything close to a championship. Said in 1996.

Process? What process? Oh you wouldn't change anything? You'll take a discount? Welcome aboard coach.

Yes, it should all be blown up. Then hire an actual GM and let him hire his coaches and draft the players to carry out his vision. This should have happened 25 years ago. It should've happened before resigning Dak. It should have happened after trading Parsons. Extending players who haven't been part of a winner was stupid, trading away picks for veterans was stupid, totally stupid. They should be collecting draft picks instead of declining players. But none of this will ever happen as long as Jerry owns this team, probably Stephen too.
